When your 5 year old watches you and your wife surf all summer

I guess this is what you get when you spend every available day on the lake with your kids. Yesterday our 5 year old says, "I want to surf," and does and gets up on his first try. Not only does he get up, but he decides he's going to pull himself in and give a shot at throwing the rope.

Funniest thing I've seen in a while, but have to say very proud moment for both my wife and I to see both kids boarding and surfing and wanting everything to do with family time on the lake. Everything they do on the water reminds us constantly what sponges they as they just watch us for a while and hop in and know exactly what to do. Hope you guys enjoy this short video and get a small chuckle out of it, I know I did.

That's awesome! Thanks for sharing. Big year for us too. We got my 7 year old daughter up on the surf board for the very first time. I don't know who was more excited..... My wife and I OR my daughter? Either way good times!

Yea, our daughter is 7 and got up last summer, but real late in the summer so did not have much time on the surf board. I can say the board makes all the difference in the world. Don't just throw them back there on an adult board and think it will work, the small kids board is worth every penny.
