    Tankbuster Package for post-2005 SV-211

Has anybody bought a tankbuster package for a 2006 or later 211? Wakemakers only has 2000-2005 as selectable years for it. There seems to be very little difference in 211's in the first several years so I'm pretty certain it would still be fine; however, I would like to be sure before ordering and Wakemakers appear to be on vacation (no response to a couple emails and phone calls). I'm looking at doing it to my 2007 211.

EDIT: Any tips on removing the hard tanks would be much appreciated as well. I think there was one pretty detailed thread on here somewhere about that.

Considering they didn't make the 211 until 2004 as a 2005 model, I don't think their site is entirely correct. With that said, your 2007 has a different drain and fill system than the '05 had. The '05 had manual valves and 6 aerator pumps, one for fill and one for drain for each tank, these were hard to prime and slow to fill the tanks. I'm sure wakemakers can make a package for your '07.
To take the tanks out you remove the screws holding the fuel fill cover on each side, then you can remove the panels that cover the tank. After that there are two bolts holding each tank in on the inboard side of the tank. Remove the hoses (the most difficult is the drain hose at the rear of the tank) and then look for a place to store your now obsolete water tanks.

Finally got a response from WakeMakers and they confirmed the tankbuster package not being compatible with the 2007 because of the fill and drain system. Said piggyback is the way to go. So that's a bummer because I keep a lot of jackets in the one compartment and my fenders in the walkthrough. I think the piggyback will eat up all of my storage back there.

I got the piggyback system in my 07 and works good. Its does eat up the storage when full of course but with the bags empty you still got the same amount of storage space. Dont think this situation would be any different going the other route. I dont see their argument being true on the tankbuster package, I bet it would work just hooking up the hoses to the bag the same way the tanks are configured.

What size bags did you do on your piggyback?

400s. port side(the walkway) you cant fill up all the way and should monitor when filling not to do so. I get an awesome surfing wake with this setup and custom shaper. Hurts to get on plain for boarding with 5 or more people on board and not much weight up front.

Get yourself a 1235 acme prop for your planing issue! I removed my tanks and run 540's in all three lockers, awesome wake and tons of room inside when bags are empty!
