    Lake Oroville Family/Friends edit

Taking our 2013 210 up to Lake Oroville in N. California for the next week. Getting excited. Thought I'd share an edit my friend put together from our trip last year. Still getting in a little riding but the focus is changing fast!

If the spillway goes we should get some very interesting footage!

It was quite a contrast to the year before. Lake went from near record lows to full in one year. He made a similar edit of that trip as well and you can see a couple hundred more vertical feet of shoreline!

That looks like the North Fork? Do you guys go out of Lime Saddle? I grew up houseboating on that lake out of Bidwell. We even lived on my buddies parents houseboat for a summer when we were 19/20 and worked at the marina! That was a good summer. Have fun!!!!

Yeah most of those shots were in the north fork. The first video waterfall was way up in the no ski zone almost to the river. It's pretty rare to have the water actually falling into the lake from those falls. Not a great place to tie up if there is any weather! I grew up in Paradise and we had a houseboat at Lime Saddle. We were out all the time in an old teal Ski Nautique. I'm sure we probably crossed paths! I took it for granted back then it being 10 minutes from my driveway to being launched. Now I'm driving 10 hours for the same water... In 2015 the water was so low that lime saddle was closed for launching, but open for the rental houseboat. We launched at the dam and drove over. There was NOBODY on the lake that week. You can tell from the pictures it was glass almost the whole time.

Awesome video. Loved the part where you were putting the prop on. Haha.

I managed to bend the prop while towing the Nautique behind the houseboat. When the water is that high at Oroville there is tons of debri/wood in the water and I dragged it over a submerged log. Glad I had the spare!

Wow, that's a bummer. Wouldn't have thought there would be enough speed to do any damage. Must have been a tree!
