I just bought my 06 210 a couple of months ago. have to admit that i am very disapointed with the quality of the boat, lots of issues that keeps poping back (ballast and other electrical problems). my main problem is that there is really no one to talk to. there is no real support. if they would have really wanted to listen, owners reunion can be more than just visiting sea world.

I guess just like some of you that have had bad experiences, I have had nothing but great customer service and experiences with all four nautiques that I have owned. The quality has never been an issue on the ones that I have owned, and that is way I will continue to buy nautiques in the future!

Got2ski, do you have anything positive to add? If you're so opposed to Correct Craft and their Nautiques, go buy or drive or whatever you want to do with your Mastercraft, Malibu, Moomba, or whatever. CC has their issues, but I haven't heard you offer any solutions.

Did you get any sort of contact directly from someone at CC recently regarding this, that is someone calling you or emailing you, asking if you would post something on your site to get the real nautique die-hards to voice their opinion?
Sorry to put you on the spot, but the answer could be important...

I am guessing that this survey has to do with their image...meaning, their name recognition, sponsorship recognition, etc.... I have completed surveys like this in the past for companies that were working on re-"branding" themselves. Or considering some new marketing strategies.
I am also guessing that got2ski is just here to cause trouble. I am simply going to ignore.
However, I do have some opinions about comparing correct craft with other manufacturers. For the last three years, I have the opportunity to spend a solid week on the water with two CC's and two other manufacturer's boats.
I can tell you that over the past three years, the CC's are solid and reliable. The other boats have had troubles.....mostly minor little things, but occasionaly a item big enough that the boat spent several hours being worked on. In my observations, the CC's spent about 10 to 25% more time on the water.....which is about how much more they can cost. So, it may come down to what is that time on the water worth to you????88 Ski Nautique

So let do our own little survey. Do you want CC to go back to emphisizing the Correct Craft name or do you prefer Nautique? In the early eighties, I remember telling someone that I had a Ski Nautique and his eyes popped out. That was long before the Nautique name became what it is today. But for me, Correct Craft is the family business and has been around for twice as long as any Nautique, so I prefer Correct Craft.
See my poll.

Ski Nautique name meant a lot more in the early 80s than it does today. As a hardcore, competition ski boat, nothing could compare to the Ski Nautique at that time. In terms of history, quality, reputation, Ski Nautique was clearly the marquis product of that era. MC and American Skier were emerging and really took off in the 80s, but still did not have the Nautique reputation. Malibu Centurion and others were still in infancy and For the most part were making lower quality boats anyway.
Today, there are a number quality ski boats. Some with 20 and 30 year
histories behind them. While I still choose CC, credible arguments can be made as to the merits of other brands. Thus, today, I think Ski Nautique
one of a handful of "Names." 25 Years ago, it was THE NAME.
My opinion. BKH2001 Super Air

They need a survey ???

Remember, they have a new VP of marketing, a new president coming in, and a new factory. The time is right for change at CC, and I think it is a positive thing that they're asking us what we think.
Let's see . . . (1) They bring in a bigshot from SeaRay to ruin (I mean run) the company, (2) build quality goes downhill so they get rid of John G. and demote Damian in their customer service department, (3) they put this crappy little new vdrive in the 210 which sounds like a rock grinder, and (4) after 30+ years of using right hand propellers they're gonna go with all left hand propellers for 2007 -- and they still need a survey to find out what's broken ??? My guess is the survey's coming from the new VP of marketing that the old prez had hired -- before he ran back to SeaRay.
Maybe I'm stupid but my older SAN tracks and handles much better with a right hand prop than the new 210 with left hand prop. So why should I or other CC owner's buy a new CC this summer ? Meanwhile other boat companies will build me a boat with either a left hand or right hand prop for thousands less than CC.
Seems like CC is going in reverse when everybody else is going forward . . . they need to stop dead in the water and REVERSE COURSE FAST !!!

While I am not thrilled with the news I have heard about what's happened in the CS department, I don't feel like I can really comment on it because I am sure I don't know the whole story. My experiences with Damian and John have always been outstanding.
I think that maybe CC is recognizing the fact that some of their customers are not as enthusiastic about the CC/Nautique brand as they once were, and they are trying to see what they need to change to be a better company for their customers. That's my personal take on the survey.I own and operate Silver Cove Marine, which is an inboard boat restoration, service, and sales facility located in Mooresville, North Carolina.
