well played. although a small percentage, we are probably the majority of the people that care about the small stuff and like to input thoughts to see in future boats we may or may not buy. I think most of the CC owners that do not participate in discussion or fix their own problems could care less if they were driving a nautique, mc, bu, supra, sanger, sea ray, cobalt...... because of popularity or their kids told them to buy it. then again i could be wrong

just filled out the CC survey ,what they do with it remains to be seen. i don't blame them for not running out and building something a bunch of us are blabbering about on the internet. changing a product line isn't just expensive , but also a risk , your company might get the reputation for building any old crap on a wim. the comment of people buying what the pros buy is true. in the motorcycle world " what ever wins sunday (race day) sells monday ". then there's the harley davidsons , over priced garbage that sells because fat old bald posers need some kind of "bling". years ago motorcyclists begged Honda to make the CBR 750 again , so they did and nobody bought them because these old farts thought it was too expensive. they remember when Coke was a nickel, basically money talks and bull***t walks.
has anybody bin to CC when they used to give tours of the plant. when i was there i recognized 3 diesel motors on skids and were going in boats headed for europe . there was another boat getting a paint job and stickers from the previose year because the buyer didn't like that years graphics. has anyone tried ordering a boat thats more their taste and offered to pay the difference. on most of these threads i see the same names coming up and our opinion doesn't add up to much. when the dealerships make their orders according to what's going out the door, that speaks volumes.

When we were getting our boat in '04, we looked into the idea of getting a Python, just in case they "had one leftover on the shelves" and needed it to be unloaded. Although it seemed like a good idea to our dealer and us, CC shot that down pretty quick. What you see in the catalog is what you get. A friend also tried to get white pin striping on the outside to separate his vapor blue primary and gray secondary, like seen in the catalog (according to him), but he said CC wouldn't budge on that either. This is a 2006. They don't seem up to customization that much, at least in my experiences.I Nautique, therefore I am.

I also agree that we are a solid group of CC fans that CC relies on for information, to a certain extent. There's a reason this site is still in existance..............I Nautique, therefore I am.

This site is a great reference point for CC and they should make it a procedure to check in every now and then...

i hope that they retain the quality that they are known for, our 87 martinique is built like a tank. we finally had to recover the back seat, after nealry 20 years of use on the original vynil. all in all it is an excellent boat that throws a very nice wake and even nicer when weighted a little. (prolly even nicer when weighted alot)
