I had read on here some people put alarms on their boat, but I was wondering if anyone had any other solutions. Maybe even a combination of solutions. Not really looking for tips such as "parking in well lit areas" or "remove everything of importance." I want some secure measures for things such as hotel parking lots or parking in a neighborhood for a night or two. Thanks

I very rarely leave my boat in such a location but when I do I put a hitch lock on and remove the pin on the swing away tongue and swing it in and lock to the frame with another lock. Could you steal it if you wanted it badly enough? Yes.
But it would be a royal pain and good luck finding a suitable pin replacement for the tongue.

Unfortunately the best security really is "parking in the right areas" and "remove everything of value." What is your boat and where are you planning on parking? Usually wherever I go I see a hotel or two with some form of "secured" lot whether it means on duty security guard or not. Should be able to lock your ski lockers too.
Even the strongest security is really just how strong an "inconvenience" you can make it for someone. We used to hide and lock our five place snowmobile trailer on job sites with the best pad locks around, then people just started cutting holes into the side of them to steal tools. You do what you can *shrugs*

Alarm systems are useless in this situation. Best bet trailer tongue lock that goes in the ball socket. Best idea is to try to find a lot with security cameras. I like to lock the safty chain to the back of the truck with a padlock too. If really concerned remove a tire and take it with you. My boat was broken into and my $400 stereo and amps were taken. left behind was $3500 worth of waterskis. and wakeboards. Most thieves are not smart, only thinking about a quick buck.
