I'm not sure I get the point of a GS24. The only reason I see to buy the GS line vs a G would be if you were a recreational skier, I'm guessing the GS24 doesn't do that well so why not just get a G23??

My boat partner's wife was noting how much she loved surfing behind an older malibu, because the G23 surf wave was too big. Kind of weird, I know. It never occurred to my partner to just keep the ballast empty for her to surf. He tried that for the first time, and she was in heaven. If I wanted a smaller wake or wave, I can always leave the ballast out. I cannot imagine the GS being superior for wakeboard wakes and surf waves...unless you needed it smaller, in which case you can empty the ballast.

Perhaps those are not priorities but they are all factors that one must deal with most every time one uses the boat. It must be considered for the overall boat experience. Admittedly surf wave size is not my priority- so everyones priorities are different. Never needed to add any ballast to our GS22- factory 2300 lbs has been plenty- and rarely use all of that.
Ballast speed etc
