    Warranty parts

I'm just curious about the time it takes to get warranty parts. What's everyone's experience with warranty work, how long from the initial service visit until the parts arrive (I'm talking mostly about cosmetic parts, not something that will keep the boat off the water).. I had my boat in the shop over a month ago and I'm still waiting on parts to fix the minor items. Is this normal?

With the GS 22 being brand new model , depending g on the part I could see it taking 2-4weeks for production of a specialty part , specific to that model. Wouldn't be unheard of prime time/ mid season. Doesn't change the fact I'd still be annoyed, but it's not an abnormality for a new design .

Oh man, that's brutal. Go pick that thing back up and use it if it's just little cosmetic items. Why keep killing your whole season?

I have the boat, that's not the problem. I was just trying to see if this was typical for ordering warranty parts (a light and a cover). It's nothing major, I was just trying to get an idea of what other people's experience is. Yes, I bought it new (this year) from the dealer that's servicing it btw.

Send your dealer pictures of warranty issues and have them ordered . Take boat at end of season to get
warrenty items installed/repaired. For me the dealer has been received many warranty items
for me and will install in Nov. No boat owner wants down time in the summer months
            during boat use

The boat has already been to the dealer and the warranty issues noted - it was in the shop on the 20th of June. I finally called them on July 29 and the parts still are not in...My question is what is other peoples experience with the dealer ordering parts?

One of the letters on the side of the 2017 G23 was coming off. Called the dealer about two weeks before i drove it too them as I needed the 25 hr service done. Parts were in and work was done in a day. I had a similar experience a few years ago with my 2012 SANTE 230. A couple of little pieces and bits. All came in within a couple of weeks. Maybe its just been the parts I needed more more available. Decals & letters. I could see how things like seat covers would take longer as they would have to be made to order.

Interesting though about the light and cover. One of the small round metal (maybe plastic) cover for the courtesy lights on the aft of the boat is gone. I assume it fell off. I was going to bring that up for my next visit.

But my biggest complaint of all is the bow seat arm rests... They drove 4 sheet metal screws directly into the fiberglass to hold them. Guess what happened... The starboard side came right out. My daughter was raising it up and it raised right out of the fiberglass. I consider this a fiberglass noob mistake. Those should have had some type of backing plate with machine screw, or nutsert or something. Straight screws into fiberglass never works. Checking the port side I found the top two screws starting to back out. Frustration....

^^^That's like Axis level quality (armrests). Wth? Who are the hillbillies engineering these things now and thinking they can charge Bentley prices? Integrity of build quality is waning.... That ain't how the Meloons would have done it. Sad.
