Bow rise on the G is minimal.

Earlier this year I traded a 2015 G23 in for a 2017 M235 and can say from experience that both boats are very well made. The G does ride a little flatter in the water, but not to the point of using the bolster seat in the M. I'm not saying i was unhappy with the G, I loved the G and would buy one again (and may very well in the future). I went with the M this time around because the surf wave is much better than my G, IMO (and honestly i like the malibu styling better than the Nautique, but thats personal preference). with the M, we just load the surf profile and surf. With the G, i had to always be messing with $hit to get the wave dialed in. I had a couple upholstery issues with the G (all handled by the dealership as warranty). I havent owned the M long enough to know if their upholstry is made better. The M's upholstry feels "tighter". Not sure if thats good or not, but its my observation anyway.
IMO, people on here who say that the craftsmanship on the M is less than the G simply haven't been on the M very much (i cant speak on the LSV, never have owned one). The quality of the boat is right up there with the G, and in some ways better (especially the electronics, which i have never had an issue with).
Good luck with your search, buying boats is a blast and you really cant go wrong now-a-days. All the high end brands are really built well compared to 8-10 years ago.

"With the G, i had to always be messing with $hit to get the wave dialed in." I have to agree. I have a g21, and my friends have axis a24, and axis a22, and they are much easier to dial in. I kind of think there may be a relationship between the amount of bow rise and the amount of finicky-ness. They have a ton of bow rise, but wake is very clean and at lower speeds.

Most Malibu have great wakes at slow speeds, which is sort of nice for beginners. But IMHO, by the time you can actually use a wake to jump from, you should be going a little faster anyway.
I am surprised that there are 2 people who talk about how they struggled to get their G wave dialed in. One is a G21, which is a different boat. I love that I just push the button to surf, and the only change I did from the factory settings is to speed it up and I haven't seen a need to change much else. Whenever I see the 'how to set up a G for surfing' I am frankly confused. My answer is fill all the stock ballast and go 11.8 MPH.

^ Same here. I might not consider the G the best wave out there, but I do consider it the absolute easiest to set up and just go, and more importantly, it's great right out of the box. No matter the crew, or where everyone is sitting, the "setup" is just like you say, tallred....... select wakesurf and set speed at 11.8.
edit- comments could be coming from 13-15 hulls. Also, I do know that my 21 wasn't quite that easy, and liked to be listed a bit.Last edited by Wayward; 08-31-2017, 05:44 AM.

OzarkSurferKC, interesting that you did not find the time to create an account and post when you owned a G23, but as soon as you move to a M235, you suddenly have time and willingness to create an account and post some words on how good a M235 vs G23 is. I am sorry, but your post and account smell BS. It might or might not, but the context does not give any weight to the might not.

You guys should really look at the Supra SL , the new surf wave supposed to be better than a G. Lots of new cool features, save some coin plus it looks sick.
it has the easiest set up, has auto wake 2 and has double the ballast pumps for fast fills, and a driver seats that is height adjustable. Power tower will a cover that allows for towing with tower down. Impressive boat

DEFINITELY NOT M235Ozark over on the Bu Crew.......who also has 2 posts now, and gave a long comparison of the G vs his new M235. Definitely couldn't be the same guy. I mean.....M235Ozark only demoed and priced a G. He didn't own one, so it CANT be him!! Right??
You know what they say about coincidences, right?
nonetheless, I hope ozarksurferkc enjoys his new M235, and it's vastly superior electronics (according to his TMC post)........ Medallion..... what a nightmare. In all seriousness though, the M235 is one heck of a nice boat. Enjoy in good health.
