Our wakeboard wake and surf waves are so plug and play with the stock 2016 G23 settings that we rarely, if ever, touch anything. Attached photo is a couple people in the boat and all stock surf settings on eclipse day.

You know what they say about coincidences, right?

nonetheless, I hope ozarksurferkc enjoys his new M235, and it's vastly superior electronics (according to his TMC post)........ Medallion..... what a nightmare. In all seriousness though, the M235 is one heck of a nice boat. Enjoy in good health.
Sorry man, but that's not me. You know it is possible for two separate people to have very similar opinions right?

          yes, no doubt....

It was more the same timing, location, opinion, and post counts, all combined with the fact that there are very few M235 owners, that added a whole lot of coincidence to it......

Good discussion on Malibu V Nautique. Searching for this elsewhere but can't find so feel free to point me to another post if this is redundant. I have a 14 G23, and have enjoyed it a ton. Great family boat, surf, etc. We have a place on lake so some of the benefits get lost on me - specifically the storage - as we aren't out all day - more in and out. Anyway - looking to refresh and just came from boat show. 2018 G23 hefty price tag, but tons of improvements (electronics, JBL, no splash hull, etc) but the dealer is also a malibu dealer and said best surf boat in his shop is either 25LSV or 24 MXZ. Said it is close for sure - but has me intrigued. Haven't priced either out but know G will be most $ prob followed closely by MXZ then 25LSV.

Issue I have with the G is wave can be tricky to get dialed in on standard/normal side. Goofy is simple and awesome. Same on the wakeboard wake which we use less - but still very fickle at lower speeds for kids/beginners. Like I said - love the G, great quality, etc. Trying to decide where to go here for next 4-5 years. Appreciate any advice - specifically if the 18G23 wave is a ton better than 14, and any malibu compare etc.

            Thx

When someone mentioned the G21, its a completely different boat.

I had a G21 for one summer - put 150 hours on it and was CONSTANTLY playing w the wave to try to get the best wave possible. Finally got a good wave.

Had the G23 for one summer - put 125 hours on it and BARELY played w extra weight. In fact I had 120 lbs of extra lead in my basement that I never carried down to the dock bc the wave was so good already. My whole crew skimboards so we just put 280 lbs of lead upfront and had fun!

No bolster needed! I have really never used it. Minimal bow rise and the dash layout is low and flat.
