    GS22 Surf Push

I am having a hard time finding push unless I am on top of the platform. I don't think bags or lead are an option, but I have plenty of 200lbs friends. I have been using close to factory surf settings, can someone please help? Looking for where to sit my friends, ballast help (read multiple places to only fill belly up 1/2 way?) and surf settings. I am also riding a surf style board.

Has not been a problem for us. We haven't seen the need to fill the belly ballast and are putting NCRS on 5 and NSS on 0 most of the time. It just gets better with a lot of folks in the boat but even with a few it's been adequate to get ropeless very quick. My opinion is rider experience and board selection has more influence than wake.

Obviously experience matters, and the right board is important. But better waves have a bigger sweet spot and good push. We have had a number of less experienced surfers ride without the rope for the first time behind our G23.

I can only speak for the gs20. Most of our surfing is in a very deep lake. With up to 5 people in the boat, We have had great success running the ballast at 70-80 in belly, 100 on surf side and 70-80 on off side. Zero belly weight makes the wake taller but at the cost push. Usually run 5/0 although 5/2 works better with fewer people in the boat. The best wake we've had is 100% all around with 8 people in the boat. 2 in bow and the rest in the back and on the surf side. From OUR experience, Lighter more experienced surfers do have more useable wake length and board selection does make a huge difference. My daughter made a board change and it was amazing how much more wake she could access. We love the wake on the gs20 but it has taken some tweaking. I don't think the answer is adding extra ballast.
