I think it is, I know it matched the retail price on Nautique's website. It won't necessarily get you a better deal, but it's nice to know. Without looking at it, I believe dealers can buy the boat at 30-35% off retail.

I do wonder if the options have the same markup as the rest of the boat does. It would surprise me if they do. I really find it hard to believe that it costs Nautique $3700 to make the bimini.

When I first saw this site a few years back, both MC and CC dealer owners confirmed to me it's correct, but won't include any dealer rebates or volume discounts of course. Like vanhabr stated, it won't help you land a better deal, but it's nice to know.

They do. I used to sell MC's, and all options have a solid markup...especially the big engines.

They have a solid markup, or the same markup as the rest of the boat?

When I was selling, there was no single mark-up percentage. For example, and only speaking on MC's, the boat was about a 35% mark up, where the trailer was 50%. We had volume discounts as well, usually something like 5 to 7.5% additional off cost, if we ordered over x number boats for stock prior to the next year model coming out. I don't think I'm divulging any big industry secret. It's pretty basic stuff across retail.

That's because Malibu lists EVERYTHING as an option...most of that stuff is standard on a G.
