There are two pumps on PAN for ballast. Front is connected to water inlet through hull and is the filling pump. The back pump (at back of engine compartment) is the emptying pump. Each is connected to its own switch. The filling/emptying are affected by the venting valves (behind the driver) if all goes well you hear gurgling when the tanks are filling/emptying. Just a description of how the setup is on my boat. Not sure if this helps or not.

Sorry, never seen a diagram of the system. Quick suggestion, open up the engine cover and ask someone to hit the fill/empty switches. You'll hear the pumps running (or not). Perhaps there's something clogging your vents too, making the filling process take longer. Worth a shot to investigate that route.

When I manual fill the ballast , one of the gauges works, one doesn't..
When I drain them I can hear the gurgling sounds from the vents on the drivers side..but no pumps.
I'm actually going to go through the whole system..I'd like to go back stock, in the rear..
I'm planning on putting a sac in the ski locker also.
I've read other post on here about using the 800 gph pumps.. I'm ordering new lines also..
I just want it right..I'm no pro...
But I'd like everything to work as it should..and not have any headache down the line..

I'd start by locating the pumps if you can, the empty pumps are often under the hard tanks. Figure out if the pumps are turning on ever. If they are not, you might want to confirm that you're getting 12 v on the lines with a multimeter. the pumps have plugs that you can disconnect and check relatively easily. The tanks are not all that hard to get out, but its dirty work for certain. Having had at least 5 of the aerators fail on me, I'd guess the pumps just died. They are cheap and pretty easy to find though online. They all will say what they are on them and its a pretty quick google search to replace, or wakemakers has all of them I'm sure.

We've replaced all 8 pumps(6 ballast, 2 bilge) in our boat now in 18 months and having no idea what we were doing at first, we definitely know all the nooks and crannies of the boat now.

I assume this is similar to yours. 1.14 is ballast section.

I just did some troubleshooting, I reset the fuse under the dash and every time I turned on the pump up front , it would trip the breaker..
Unplugged the pump and turned on the rear and it was working.. at least it was coming on..
I removed the front pump and ordered 2 new ones from wake makers.. I also ordered new lines...

Replacing the wiring or the plumbing?
Wouldn't be surprising if the short was at the pump.

Replacing the plumbing, when I install the pump, I'm going to solder the wires with the correct plug ..
Use some dielectric grease were they plug together..
