Guys and gals ,
Read the forum daily and keep seeing posts about surf waves and not enough push etc...
I'm not a professional surfer but I really feel board and user are a huge contributor to surfing .
We surfed an 03 210 with two fat sacs on one side before the craze started.
Clean waves make a big difference as well as chop. If your surfing in ocean like water for the first time chances are it will be difficult .
Started with a cwb cheap board and moved to an inland surfer sweet spot . Once we had sweet spot I started to catch wave so much faster but once I got better I found that it was so much faster I had to lean back or put weight on back leg a lot. So I moved to inland surfer black pearl skim board. Still is very fast.
All I can say is practice . It takes patience . It's like riding a bike. Once you get a feel for it your good.
Lean into wave and speed up by leaning forward and slow by leaning back(pressure on back leg). But remember to lean into the wave (towards the wave)
