    210 upgrade time

We are adding to our family and time for a bigger boat. Our main goals are more room kids and friends , bigger wakeboard wake (I am 42 but I figure I can only handle a bigger wake for 7-10 years), better surf wave, clean wake for kids. We love our friends G23 but also it is a lot of money for the upgrade.
    The options are
    230
    G23
    Supra Sl
    Supra Sa

The cost differences are with Cad $ with taxes,
    G23- 96K,
    230 - 45K
    Supra Sl 67K
    Supra Sa 63K
I like the room of a 230 and the price of a 230 but not sure on the wake,How is the wake board wake compared to the 210?
I liked the room in the Gs 22 but where underwhelmed by the wake board wake, and surf wave, we only used stock ballast and 2 people in the boat. It would be at the same price as a supra Sa. I am also concerned about the 230 going away soon if I went that way.

    Any thoughts are welcomed.

    Here's a thought... buy my G21!!!

But in response to your actual question, I have no experience with the 230 or the SL but you will be underwhelmed by the wakeboard wake on the SA compared to a G23.

Really the supra sa wakeboard wake was pretty close to a g23 when I rode it. It does pull the pwt.

Those are all good choices IMO. Supra makes a very nice boat and would be my 2nd choice behind Nautique. If you like the wakeboard wake on your 210, then you will like a 230. They're pretty similar. But if the wake is what you're going for, you're just not going to beat a G...especially if you're only going to run stock ballast.

I find the wake on my buddies SA isn't necessarily much smaller than a G but it's not nearly as firm and I don't like the shape, it just seems like it's all transistion and no pop.

I ride at 75' and 23.5mph if that helps with any comparison.

230 for the cost but u have to put lbs in it and that me less places to put your stuff . the wave is sick , better then a g23 2013 i have been on
the 2018 g23 is all u will need but it comes at a cost $$$ with kids and school alll the things coming down in the years to come i think 230

If the 230 does disappear in the new 3 or 4 years I think I maybe out the15 k difference for a 230 to SA. This is getting to be a hard decision

The 230 will have a better wakeboard wake and a better surf wake anyone who says otherwise is just kidding themselves. The wakeboard will be not as harsh of a "buck" compared to the 210, the 230 is more gradual and takes more weight better than a 210, meaning the potential is far better in my opinion.
As for surfing the 230 is longer, and so is the wave! Ive owned multiple 210's before including the same hull style as your 13 and hands down my 230 surfs better. Ive seen multiple people say the 230 surfs better than a G23, and although id love to believe that since I'm in a 230 right now and looking at getting in to a G23 and could save a bunch of money sticking with my 230 i'd have to surf a G23 myself to really know which is better, id only imagine with the right weighting the G would surf better.

My 230 surfs really really good, its more than i'll ever NEED, but that doesn't stop the WANT. haha

My Aunt and Uncle have a place on Christina Lake, its beautiful up there!

I don't see Nautique discontinuing the 230 anytime soon and even if they did why would it affect the resale value? Used 230s are few and far between and coming from someone who watches the used wakeboat market intensely I can tell you when they do pop up they sell quick! There is no better boat out there under 100k cdn used.

Apparently the New supra Sl is supposed to have an amazing surf wave, I think I may have to take a closer look.

I'm in the same situation - looking at a 230 but very concerned it will go away. Although, then I will have the best affordable late model boat that nobody can buy new anymore so maybe the resale will actually be really good as a result...

I'm trying to understand the worry if the 230 hull disappears. Nautique discontinues boat lines when they no longer fit in the product line, and I've never seen that effect the resale price. Look at any used 211 or the 93-98 Ski Nautique - their prices are holding steady if not rising. I agree with surfinjosh, don't worry about resale value of a Nautique, buy the boat you want, at the price you want.

The 210 and 230 are not going away. This speculation happened and has been happening since 2013 when the G came out and Nautique has does nothing but make hull changes to the 210 and 230 since. If they were going anywhere no way would they invest R&D and new mold money into these platforms.

Yeah the 210/230 aren't going away. They are great boats.

I figured as much, especially after they redesigned it from the waterline up for 2018 and also incorporated the 2017 G series dash.
