I didn't get metal flake either... then I got one... then I got it! Our orange metal flake is unreal with a low sun in the evening.

By the way, Nautique is saying they can't put a metal flake panel against another metal flake panel, even if they are the same colour. Anyone know why this is?

I am not sure about the color pattern on the other boats, but on a G series boat, the only 2 panels that can be metal flake are the front and main panel, and they are divided by the swoosh, which cannot be metal flake. So you cannot have 2 different metal flakes touching each other. It is 1 charge if you want both panels the same metal flake (2K MSRP), but would be two if you wanted them different colors (4K MSRP). I've never seen the swoosh in metal flake.

I'll be interested to hear what your guys' dealers say about two like metal flake panels butting up against each other. That's definitely what I want to do and am ok paying more if need be.

When I originally ordered the GS22 before switching to the G I picked out the entire hull in Gunmetal Flake. The only gel coat I had that was not flake was the hull bottom, deck upper color and interior color. They allowed hull forward, hull rear, and accent all to be metal flake. They had no problem with this at all. TheJean will it let you build the 230 in the visualizer all metal flake?

To each their own indeed. These are big bucks, so spec it out as you see fit. If resale is at all an issue, proceed with caution though. We bought a teal MC in 1992, and by 1995 couldn't give it away.

You can do this. Grey hull and both front and main reef blue was one of our color options.

My dealer told me that the SAN design team said no to this (at least on a 230). We actually have to go straight to the production manager to see if he will allow it. Super bizarre...

I talked with my dealer and he said it is no problem. He said it lets you built it, it lets you spec it on their order sheet then it can happen. Not sure what is going on TheJean. The builder also let me build a GS22 with all metal flake on sides no problem with no error message. Wish you luck buddy! I like the solid colors and not so much going on. Very classy look in my opinion.
