    2018 X-Star- PICS!

The release vid is cool but no clear shots of the wake: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vnn4...ature=youtu.be

    Freeboard looks much higher.

It's fun to contrast and compare. Would love to try it out!

Not that my opinion matters, but the lines of the MasterCraft boats are dreadful. I don't even like the windshield styling.

Not as big as I would've thought.

Honestly, I like the lines of MC's boats. So I'm a fan. But overall, I'd rather have a G if spending that kind of coin.

I'll agree with you on this, terrible looking lines and windshield and it looks like they put two boats together the way it swoops towards the back. Just not a fan
not saying I wouldn't want to try it out, just not crazy about the looks.

Yeah, I can't stand the videos Mastercraft puts out. Why don't you show me some actual features of the boat?

Hate to say it but it doesn't look that bad. Still never buy one over a G. Interesting that Mastercraft already already allows you to "design your boat online" for the 2018 x-star from what I could see. Why this takes Nautique so long to get online is a mystery.

For anyone who can appreciate good wakeboarding... fast forward to 3:20 and watch that double backroll to blind. I can't say I have seen that before, it was amazing.

Isn't it true that MC has generally kept themselves 1 step ahead in the price game with Nautique? I haven't priced them in a while, but it seemed that way to me.

So much for marketing to old fat guys with 150 grand in their back pocket...I actually thought the music was awesome until it went all screamo on me. It scared me just to think of wakes that were too big for those guys to handle, which I felt like was the point of showing some of the best riders in the world going splat.

^YES! Super sick, it's a double tantrum to blind. It must be Lafferty, right?

Dowdy did a double back roll to blind wake-to-wake this summer (behind a G) https://www.facebook.com/dowdymike94...6919966153365/

Up close and in person, their interior is cool looking, but that 1959 Ford Fairlane "swooping" look on the outside is yougaley.

It seems a little funny to see so many comments about the looks of MC boats from G23 owners. I guess I'm in the minority in knowing that I own one of the uglier boats made right now. From a performance and utility standpoint, I love my G....... but I'm definitely not going to say that I think it's a good looking boat. For me, that is one of the major things that keeps me interested in MC. They look so much sexier to me than a G boat.

I love the looks of this new XStar, especially on the water, loaded. Much better looking than a G in my opinion. Looks are subjective though.....

otherwise, the specs on this boat are pretty interesting. 4100lbs of ballast filled in less than 3 mins. Automatic high speed weight transfer of 400lbs when switching sides. A huge wakeboard wake that is not weight sensitive....... during the live stream on alliance wake, they had guys walking all over the place inside the boat, and the wake stayed clean on both sides the whole time..... pretty interesting, considering how weight sensitive the last gen star was....

I partially agree with you. I don't particularly like the look of any Nautique boat with any G in the model designation. I think the 210/230s are the best looking boats ever. But this MC is hideous!

I'll be the odd man out. I don't mind the looks of the G, nor do I mind the looks of the new XStar. The wake looked pretty good. Can't wait to test it out in the next coming week or two. Hopefully you can drive it at 24 mph and still see over the bow, while seated behind the windshield!

I like the look of the X-Star more than I like the look of Rathy's beard...lol

BTW - Mastercraft posted a 'Product Overview' video on the X-Star page of their website.
