The only mastercraft I would consider would be the pro star

i don't think nautique realizes how precariously balanced their market really is...and i know many of you fan boys will disagree...

but if the wake is easy to get and keep clean, with low bow rise it will be money. i am not sure if this is possible cause it might just be the physics of it...bow rise vs finicky wake

and a quick fill system that works, less prop torque...

and you know what maybe if the propellers didn't fall off that would be good too (yes the still fall off on 2017's, shame on nautique)

people would switch brands very easily...what you are seeing on this website is a very small minority of owners that care about brand...a ton of people own nautiques that don't come on this or any other web site..

Scottb- your point definitely applies to me. I love my G, but if the star performs well on my demo, I'll definitely consider it. I haven't been in love with much that has come out of MC in a few years, but they seem to be finally coming around with a few of their recent redesigns. The Alliance wake live stream said a lot for the boat today..... driver seated, unbolstered, the whole time. The guys moving around all over the place in the boat, while filming wakeboarding, and the wake stayed perfectly clean. Definitely a step up from the previous gen, just based off of that limited info.

the MC vids definitely suggest a bow high attitude while towing wakeboarding, so that might need to be confirmed a bit more. However a lot of those shots were right from water level, so, who knows............at the same time, it Looked pretty "bow-down" in the surf clips.....

MC used to build awesome looking boats, but I'll say it again, MC now makes the worst looking boats IMO. I still think MC builds great boats and they are very innovative, but. the swooping rub rail and curvy windshield looks horrible. It just screams we're trying way too hard to be different! Poor use of innovation IMO.

Agree 100%. After 4 Nautiques in a row, we switched to a Prostar. Better wake, better options and better price than a 200 made it a no-brainer. MC will be detailing some really advanced technology on the X later this week, from what I understand.

Btw, I saw a double tantrum in a Malibu promo video 7 or 8 years ago. It was thrown on a double up.

While I don't like MC styling these days, I must admit that I think it's pretty cool that they still offer a teak platform.

I was wrong, it was a toe side double backroll in the Malibu video. Still very cool.

Boat looks good to me, I think the lines on this one a better than the last for sure. Anyone else notice that most of the video is double up shots?? I know the wake is huge on its own but they kept showing everyone boosting off D-Ups. Should be interesting and I for one will be looking forward to riding behind this thing.

I saw the thread on wakeworld, they said it was harley with the double tantrum to blind.

evening shade-I think the impressive part is he took it to blind. not sure if anyone has done that yet. I think Dowdy was working on taking one of his doubles to blind.

I LOVE the teak option too.

I wish Nautique would give us this option still. So classy!

You are probably right about him taking it to blind. I can't remember the details of how it was landed in the Malibu video years ago. All I remember is thinking, Holly sheite that was cool as ****! I never saw anyone do it again.

Sorry it was a toe side double backroll.

Well I should have watched the video first. That looks like it was Steel taking that double to blind off the double up. Apparently, Harley took a double tantrum to blind wake to wake.
About the actual boat, I'm interested to see the new technology, but just not really into the aesthetics of it.

Steel L is claiming it on social media...I'm thinking it had to be him then...

An interesting tid bit that Travis Moye posted on The Boarding School insta- most pro riders in the Alliance Live stream were riding at 22.2mph. A full 1 mph slower than normal. Meaning the wake and lip are firm and clean at slower speeds equaling softer landings/falls and safer overall riding.
