For sure MSRP is going to be $200k+ on a decked out XStar. My little Prostar stickered at a tick under $100k...of course I didn't any anywhere near that.

I have priced it on a bunch of comparisons vs a 2018 G23, and they are identically priced...... almost like MC did it on purpose. The XStar gets more expensive when you start adding things that aren't available on a G. It can definitely climb above the G23, but equally specd they run neck and neck, which makes sense.

I have never felt that pictures do a wave justice anyway. But this picture looks distorted to me. The man's head is too big and his arms are too short. He looks like part of him is a midget.

Yeah there's no way that dude is 6' tall!!! Not saying the wave is not an actual pic, but if he's 6' I'm 7'10"!

I hear the supra SL might be as good or better than the G and save 30 to 40 grand. Have to test it as well.

I looked heavily at a supra before getting a G. Glad I went with Nautique as 3 of my friends all have new Supras and their build quality is just sub par. Looks great at first, but falls apart quickly. Seats ripping at the seams, hinges falling apart, tower speaker fell off, info screen quit working...the list goes on...and these are '16+ model boats! Plus I realized why all the pics of their surf wave are port side surf pics...the starboard side still sucks. Have yet to get behind a boat that surfs starboard as well as the G! But then again...who surfs anyways?!! Lol

I'm curious as to what the garage clearance on this beast is?! I already know my G needs an 8'6" minimum garage door to get into with the tower down. Can't imagine this Star being any shorter considering that deep belly wont let it sit too low on a trailer.

This is the exact determining factor for me & my family. This is why we are in a G.

This goes back to what someone said earlier about the manufacturer videos. Bottom line, any top tier boat can be made to produce a great wake. I need info to make the best decision how I spend my $. Build quality, comfort, intuitive operation, reliability, dealer, etc.

Yeah up until MAYBE now, no other manufacturer has produced a complete "drop-and-play" vessel other than the G series. It's the only boat I know of that is completely ready right out of the box with no tweaking or additional ballast! (OK, except for the 200-250# of lead ballast it needs to offset prop rotation) With the G23, you simply don't need to be an expert on water convergence to have a great time on some clean wakes! I honestly do really hope this new XStar has all of that plus can stay on the same price level as the G. It was mentioned above that equally equipped they're the same price....I guess that means the Star come fairly loaded stock seeing that the base MSRP is already 20k higher than the G's.
