I've spent some time looking at what everyone on here has been running for NSS/NCRS settings and ballast levels/speed for a good wave. When we first bought our boat we just used the standard "wakesurf" setting... NSS 0 NCRS 5 Speed 11.2 100% ballast.
This works great for anyone on a surf style board, BUT the more time I've spent riding with this the more I notice a "valley" (imagine a half pipe) coming off the corner of the boat at the bottom of the wave. As I've started to ride skim style I constantly fall into this valley or dig my nose into it coming off the wave...
Coming from a 16 Moomba Mojo it didn't have this. Have been talking to other G owners on our local lake and nobody else has a problem with it? The owner of the local surf shop mentioned the surf platform could be digging into the water making this valley. So this afternoon we pumped rear tanks to 50% and center/front to 100%, 11.6 mph, NSS 2 NCRS 4. I noticed the valley was almost gone and now the swim platform is NOT digging into the water
TLDR.... does anyone else have this issue or is it just me? If so what have you done to correct it other than not filling rear tanks all the way up? As popular as the G is as a surf boat I'm surprised I don't see more about this, unless riders just work around it or people are moving weight around to deal with it.
