440 Chrysler engine

I am looking at a boat that has an older 440 Carb Chrysler engine. It has made it 1500 hours. I am just looking for info on these engines. How reliable?,how difficult are they to repair if something breaks? Are the signifantly more expensive to repair/rebuild if needed? Thx
