Running in new Nautique

We take delivery of our new 2018 G23 tomorrow and will be taking it out with our dealer on the weekend, I've had a lot of differing opinions on running in a new boat so I wanted to get the general consensus on what is normal.
My son is very excited to get out behind the boat for a Wakeboard and potentially put a bit of ballast in.
How many hours should we have on her before we can really start to Wakeboard with ballast?

You should follow the directions on page 20 of your engine owner's manual, here if you have the H6, or page 25 of this manual if you have a 550.

I would not be concerned about adding ballast. Remember, these engines go into a variety of boats, and some are much heavier than others. The H6 can go in anything from a Ski Nautique 200 (2,850 lbs.) up to a G25 (6,400 lbs.). I say run ballast whenever you feel like it.

Also, your engine will have been run already at the factory, and they perform the break in steps there, too. Your dealer will likely do a water test before delivering the boat to you as well.

We took our new boat out with the dealer on the weekend for a couple hours then he left it with us. We've put just over 10 hours on it now and all I can say is Wow...
Already coming from a Nautique I knew the quality was going to be superb however the design and functionality of these 2018 G23's are just on another level.
Everything is designed and manufactured to work seamlessly as an entire package.

Looking forward to our Summer here in Australia with our beautiful new boat.
