    2007 models

Anyone have reliable information as to CC's plans on jumping into the larger boat market to compete with Tige or the MC X80. I run on the river in Jax, Fl and would LOVE for them to come out with a bigger boat, perhaps twin screw even. Any info would be appreciated.
(I guess I could retro fit an old CC San Juan :-), J.K.)

Personally, I don't want them to build bigger and bigger boats...

Look on other recent threads for more information.

          I have heard ZERO rumors. Z E R O.

I have however, personally recommended to them several times that they need something to compete with the Malibu 247, Supra Launch 24v, and so on. We shall see what they'll do. I am sure they've heard that from a lot of people though. It is ver obviously needed.

I'm the biggest speculator and theorist in the world, and I fall for this rumor stuff all the time, but I absolutely do not expect to see a "big" boat this year from them.

Maybe we will see some interior modifications to the 220, or even a 210 with the 220's interior, or some interesting change to the 226 making it more wakeboarder-ready. But I absolutely do not expect to see a large boat this year from Correct Craft. In fact I don't expect anything Earth shattering whatsoever in their 2007 lineup.

The one thing I do expect, and at this point it isn't really Earth shattering, but just rather necessary, is the end of the buzzsaw, tribal tattoo, batman graphic. If that is still present on the 2007 models, I will be simultaneously suprised and disappointed.

I have heard they have a bigger than the 226 boat coming out. An XL 211 if you will. It is going straight for the 24' market, so it will be right up there in size... say 23'7" in speculative terms.

Now, that does nothing for the X-80 competition that you speak of. I don't think a watersports company needs a boat like that though.

I heard the new 210 was going to be 98" wide, 24' long and have rear facing seats over the engine. There was going to be some LCD tvs in it in front of the engine with a DVD player so the crew in the boat could watch movies while the boarder was throwing tricks. The tower is going to have an an extension on it that has a sail which turns in the opposite direct of the boarder to allow the wind to counter act the force of the boarder. There will be a head under the observer's seat with a full bar behind the driver's seat. The bow will be closed with a fully apolstered bed for overnighting. It will be offered with twin 6.0L engines and have a top speed of 55 MPH. There will also be a new drive by wire system for the steering system that will be incorporated at a latter date into the perfect pass. The perfect pass will have an update latter in the year or early '07 to allow the boat to "auto pilot" where it will use satellite telemetry to guide it with both speed and direction through a predetermined path.

All of this will be for a new low price of $58,999 with a tandom trailer.

                That is what I heard.

LoL! ag4ever would you be interested in going into the boat building business with me? I dont have much money and I am bad with tools and I can't draw very well but I share your vision of the future. Lets get started! We can use mezzanine financing vis-a-vis The2001.com!!! Who is on board!!?!??

I actually have a blog all set to go on my site where I detail the Wakeboarding Dream Boat of my Nightmares and some of these suggestions aren't too far off

Instead of going bigger, maybe they'll consider going smaller...

Maybe not for '07, but I wonder if CC will bring back the 176...?

There are a lot of lakes out there with size restrictions, bringing back the 176 opens up CC to those buyers, as well as allowing CC to market an 'entry level' boat.

It is my understanding the biggest reason the 176 was discontinued was that CC just didn't have the room in the factory.

I would think they realized it made more sence for them to dedicate the factory space to building the bigger boats that have the bigger profit margins on them.

With the new factory, they might consider adding the 176 back to the line...

                      Best Wishes!

2007 Models - Make 'em smaller!

I for one would love to see Correct Craft return to building the smaller inboard boat. I've always liked the American Skier, Mustang and Ski Tique models (check out the 1979 Correct Craft Brochure: http://www.correctcraftfan.com/reference/1979_brochure/).

A return to building the Ski Nautique 176/Air Tique (a new Ski Tique?) would be a step in that direction. With the price of the larger boats (and the price of fuel to power them) not everyone can afford them.

                        my 2 cents... 8-)

No need for an X 80 type model

I don't know where you are located but for those of us on the St. Johns River in Jacksonville, Florida would love a watersports based big boat like the X-80 (Hopefully built by Correct Craft). There are a number of X-80's up here and seem to be doing well in this market. In particular their twin screw salt water edition. That size boat is great for us folks whose families are crying Sea Ray but nothing could bring you to buy such a useless beast.

My understanding is that they will not make a "Bigger" 210. The scuttle butt I got was that they tried this... and the boat did not drive to CC Standards. If this is true, I for one would like to see them come out with a bigger 220 in the 24 ft range. I didn't mind the 220 when I demoed it... but just was not a great fan of the wake (I'm spoiled on my 210). If they went with a bigger 220... I might change my mind.
