From another GS22 owner, Great Looking boat and excellent choice. I'll second all comments from earlier in thread. Great boat!

Ice looking boat. Did you plumb the sacks into to the factory ballast system? If so how tricky was this to do? How does the wave look with the extra weight?

Sorry I missed this post... Our dealer installed the fat sacs and tied them into the factory ballast system. It seemed easy for them to do and wasn't that much more $, but after all I spent on a new Nautique it's just a little bit more... right? The wave looks great. I think getting the 750's was the right choice. They are longer in shape and when 1/2 filled (which is about perfect), the wave is amazing and you still have plenty of room for storing life jackets and bumpers. So far so good. I just love the way this boat handles. Little or no spray, drives like a sports car and fun to hang out in too. It should warm up soon in Texas and we will try out the surf wave. I'll post pics.

I did the same thing on my 22, I added 400lb fat sacs in the rear lockers, but I also added another sac in the center of the seating the area and I found this to be the best spot/setup for surfing on the boat (i tried everything) ... any more weight and it started getting sloppy. Being behind a G23 a few times, I'd stay this was maybe 10% under what the stock 23 wave was ... plumbing off the stock ballast was the right move ... enjoy!

How did you plumb off of the stock ballast? It may be easier on the GS22, but getting to the rear ballast through hull overflow fittings is almost impossible on a GS20 (without removing seat cushions etc.)

Can you take pictures of how it is plumbed? I installed a piggyback system and cannot get them to drain! TIA
