Not to mention all the the other positives-- handeling, trailering, interior layout, ski ability, size. I think he is making a wise decision to give the GS a hard look for sure.
This is the difference between a recommendation and an endorsement:
A recommendation takes into account the intended use, location, budget, crew size, tow vehicle (if applicable), etc and comes to a reasonable direction taking all of that into consideration.
An endorsement is "You should buy what I bought because I like it."

hmmm. Charles making a lot of "non complimentary" comments...go figure...now he is going to "school" us on the definition of the term recommendation and endorsement. Thanks Charles.
An endorsement is a public show of support. At least per the dictionary. So since this forum is public, a recommendation and an endorsement are basically the same thing. IMHO.
"If the buyer is NOT going to slalom ski, then it's not a good choice." Bold statement. There are inherent problems with the g series, and the 230 as compared to the GS. Now be reminded I own a g21, have owned a 210, and a buddy had a 230. The g boats are not good at wakeboarding at low speeds, which may be important with kids, and beginner adults. The 230 and g series have a pretty finicky wake and easily get washy wakeboarding, wakeskating, unless moderately to heavily weighted. 210 is a pretty good all around boat, but modest in size but still a great contender for someone a bit more serious about wakeboarding and when weighted in the front and not in the back makes a pretty decent ski wake. Not too much bad to say about it. So in summary the gs series may make a good choice depending not just on the sport of choice but the intensity of the sport of choice.

Not sure I agree with the "inherent problems" with the G series. Also disagree on the poor slow speed wakeboard comment, at least on the G23. What would you consider slow speed? We take the wake down to intermediate level with a 60/40 bias to the port side and run at 19 mph to work on new tricks, etc. A great experience at that speed and ballast setting. For beginners we empty the tanks completely and run about the same speed - a nice solid beginner style wake that they can progress on.
I have played around with the GS22. It is an awesome boat, and all-around one of our favorites. If you are looking for a great handling do-all family boat, this is the one to have. However, if you primarily want to surf, and don't care about skiing, the G is where it is at in my experience.

Good job at noticing that, your right, it is even spelt different. I will enjoy my power tower and my 40k in my pocket while enjoying a wake as good as a G.
Jokes, I am sure I will be back in a nautique at some point if it is not up to snuff.Last edited by Shockthis; 01-09-2018, 10:42 AM.

^ you should include the fact that wake 9 is only praising the boat they now own.
We we are happy that you are excited about your new purchase, but shamelessly plugging a completely biased review into a PN thread asking about G and GS series boats, is kinda pointless isn't it? If wake 9 was getting a row boat, he'd praise it as the best surf boat ever......

I love ove how you get rotated on here for suggesting something, but then the g23 owners feel free to go onto the Malibu forms etc, and push there views on the G23. Noting wrong with people having options.
