You'd likely be money ahead to sell the GS20 outright in the spring instead of trading it in. That being said, you might get a better deal on a new boat in the winter.
Doesn't it depend upon the state sales tax? When I trade in my G23 here in WA I save over $10,000 in sales tax (9.5%) vs. selling out right. It's hard to make up for that so I trade in...
Same here, when we traded the 210 in on a supra Sl , I had to sell it for 12% more privately and then the buyer would still have to pay tax. It seams like I got 5000-6 k less by trading it in , but saved 11000 k in extra taxes so i feel it worked out
