They are actually really easy to install. Some letters are a little more complicated than others, but the technique is the same.
I peeled the facing off first, then removed the backing. You can start in one corner or along one edge and work your way around. If you don't press them down, you can peel them up, remove and start over or adjust as you go. You just take your time and they turn out great, With mine, the factory letters have a shade or matte part, and the overlays are essentially the same size as that part of the letter. You can use that as a guide and make small adjustments as needed.
I found that if I took a level photo of each letter with the overlay just tacked on in some spots, it helped me see any lines that weren't straight or if it looked crooked, off center, etc. If good, press hard around the whole thing and commit, or make necessary adjustments. Don't get frustrated, some go on quick and others take a bit, I had an "E" that I probably re-did 10 times.
I also hit the letters with a little rubbing alcohol first to remove any polish or residual Babes.
Realistically, I spent about 45 minutes on the first side and abut 30 minutes on the second side. I did the two sides on two different days, as I found my focus getting off towards the end of each set of letters. A short break between probably would have been fine.

Since I don't own a trailer, I would be applying these overlays while my boat is in my lift as my body is hanging over the gunwales applying the lettering. Maybe someone has a better application method for someone who does not own a trailer? LOL

There is no way I would try to apply these in the lift with my body upside down. I will experiment with the application of the stern logo overlay first and if successful then figure out the application of the side overlays before I order them

Glad you posted the transom dome overlay. I just purchased the transom dome overlay in Midnight Blue and have not installed it yet and your visual is helpful.

Did you install the domed overlay yet on the transom. I want to do the same thing with my Admiral Blue and I was anxious to see how your boat turned out.
Sent from my iPad using PLT Nautique

I have the transom dome overlay but have not installed . My boat is at desrlership inside where I left to get warranty work done late last fall and I just left it there all winter. I’ll probably pick up mid March then I will install the transom dome overlay and Roswell Triton racks . Will post pictures at that time

Looks great blueroom! I’m thinking about doing this on my boat in the spring.
Are these letters “puffy” for lack of a better word to describe it or more flat like traditional vinyl lettering?
