Is everyone really that concerned with a mechanical failure so serious that you miss substantial water time? My family has owned 11 MasterCrafts and 5 Nautiques since 1986, and not one went in for warranty work. I do understand the G owners are probably little more leery though, with the prop shaft issue? In my years of working with MC, there were more Bigfoot sightings in our area than boats in for major warranty repair.
Reading through this thread, I think I just have a different mind set. Something catastrophic would have to occur for me to take my boat in to my dealer, as I prefer doing all my own general maintenance. If you prefer to have a dealer change your oil, winterize and store your boat, maybe a solid relationship is much more important.
I do value the relationships I have with a couple of great dealerships...even have been known to sink a few beers with the owners after hours. They give me what I consider to be great pricing, and I in return continue to buy boats. However, 2019 pricing has me thinking our '15 Prostar may be our last, but that's an entirely new discussion.
