Ok, decided on 18 G23, what are some options I have to have or avoid?

Forgot to mention this in my last post. I have the black hull and black platform and its awesome. I love it.. It is a bit more work to keep clean but I discovered "Hot Sauce" and life has been good. There are a few very light gel scuffs where the trailer carpet touches the boat. Unless you crawled under the boat you'd never see them but be aware. I assume its from debris in the lake getting hung up in the carpet.

. Scott.....that's because the 14, 15, and 16 had the "old" LEDs....which were just right. The newer ones have apparently kicked it up a notch....or two....TOO bright. I haven't seen them in person but by the talk on here...well you know the drill. Again....Are you listening Nautique??? Tone it down a bit please.

        Indeed het the paddle Wheel.
Great resale value in my opinion. Not everyone is on a lake...

I have Mojave brown interior vinyl in my G23 and I like it very much but I would agree with Tallredrider that in 2020 I might be saying, 'remember when everyone was ordering brown interiors, Ughh'. . Even though I have been out voted I still like my +$3,000.00 window vents on the design package; I use them all the time.
The illuminated non dimmable cup holders on the 2017s suck

Thanks for all the great info guys, I did go back and uncheck LED pack and add heated seats, steering wheel upgrade, black hull and platform.

I believe the 2018 LED package has dimming controls now. They should not be as bright.

LED pkg. - I almost always turn them on when I'm in the boat. They may be bright, but that makes it noticeable when it's sunny. I think it adds a lot of "wow" or "pretty" factor inside the boat.

Speaker lights are a bug magnet for sure, but if you're the last one on the lake and stretch out the day as much as possible.... I think they're great. The cleanup is much easier when you can see everything.

Heater & Heated seats - Was out a couple days ago and was very thankful for both. If you only ride during the summer you may not need them, but for cooler weather it's a must.

Design PKG - IMHO... Not worth it. I have it, but I haven't had my boat in real heat yet though to be fair. I hear it's helpful in extreme heat. I think it makes the boat look so much better though.

Phender Pro - I ordered it, but it wasn't installed. Dealer gave me the option to have them install it or get hooked up with a shiny new board. I took the board. I like the concept, but I don't hook up to other boats or docks hardly ever, so I opted for the board.

Transom Remote - I didn't order it, because I had it on my old malibu ('04) and probably used it less than half a dozen times.

Not that you want to, but... I really like the speaker/sub pkg(JL). It's clean and the subs (one hidden) look fantastic. New head unit is also suppose to greatly improve flaws that existed before.

I really like that boat. Did you intentionally change the vinyl to white? That would be a color scheme that I will strongly consider if I ever get a new boat again. The white bottom will be easier on the eyes than the inevitable bunk scratches on black.

Yes I switched the accent along with the hull to offset too much dark colors

Don't go black hull. It breaks up the lines to much in my opinion and they suck to take care of.

I have an almost 100% white interior, but I think the brownish interiors are here to stay.

I am seeing less and less white - lots of brown and a lot more colored interiors in the new boats. People that have had the browns and mochas seem to really like them, due to the easy maintenance and less stress over staining, dirt, etc. I love white upholstery, and think that nothing looks better, there is a good chance our next boat will not be white inside. Not sure it will be brown, maybe light gray or something.

My current G has brown interior which I like and my prior Nautique has gray interior . If I was in the market for a new boat, I would consider the sand color interior which was not available when I purchased my 2017 G

I ordered the thruster on my 2018 but as I don't have it yet - I can't comment on whether that was a wise or "stupid" choice. Time will tell but the few comments I have seen on here and some other places is mostly positive. It's just so much $$ - hard to believe I went for it.
