2018 Seattle Boat Show (mostly GS20 photos)

The CFO and I went to the Seattle boat show today. The wife declared Malibu and Mastercraft were "dissapointing" after looking at what Nautique had to offer. We own and enjoy our 1996 Ski Nautique but desire to upgrade in a few years. I have been lurking a lot, reading lots of posts and reviews. I was really leaning towards a G21 or G23 being that perfect next boat... But my perspective greatly changed as those boats felt too big to us. We really enjoyed the smaller size of the GS 20 and the 210. Granted we havn't ridden behind any of them, that will be the determining factor in the next few years. Snapped a few photos, mostly of the GS20 and 22.

Much appreciation to Doug McCollum from Pacific Nautiques who spent a few hours with us, I believe he is a partial owner. Representitives from Malibu, Mastercraft and Tige didn't pay any attention to us. The guy from Tige actually blew me off as I said "hey that's a beautiful boat!" He replied "there are lots of beautiful boats at the boat show." And proceeded to walk away. Roger that!

    Enjoy!

I heard they had an open bow and a closed bow 200 there?

That Surf graphic looks really weird. Not digging it.

This is true, they did. I believe they were the only manufacturer with a slalom boat there, let alone two.

I should have taken pictures of the G23, I believe those graphics were different.

I might be in the minority but I am not a fan of the slapping sea dek on any exposed fiberglass like they did in the stern section

I'm with ya there. I like it for floors and steps, but I can basically do without it just about everywhere that they put the diamond pattern.

They did go hog wild with seadek indeed. Why it's on the dash and other places one could never sit or stand is mystery to me.

Are those pins on the deck to hold fenders? If so, that is a really nice touch.

They are. Fenderpro if I remember correctly. They felt substantial, could be installed and released with one hand. I tried it with the fender hanging off it. The design was really clean and functional.

Yes that's the phender pro option.

My $0.02 by having so much area covered by sea dek, tolerances with the fiberglass molds can be relaxed some.

Interesting thought. I would hope that's not the case, but you could be on to something?

Can you custom order without all the additional sea deck?

You can get the Phender Pros online they are pretty cheap and easy to install. I would recommend doing 3 per side I installed them last year. You can even get black aluminum receivers as well instead of the stainless.

They even make a GoPro mount as well which is pretty cool for filming.
