Of course only the Nautique dev team knows the answer, however, I think they could easily replace the slot held by pebble and replace it with the new watch. It is just Bluetooth signals and a translation of the codes to the system. The hard thing would be to add the new watch while retaining an option for selecting Pebble from the screen.

      Thanks for the details Charles.

I just got a spare Pebble and set it up. Somehow my old Pebble (Steel) looked for the updated software and I had to update it, then revert back to the older version. I looked for the software in the Nautique page and it is no longer available, at least based on the link for the reference document I have (which may be old). Luckily I found the email that I sent to myself with the software to go back to the old version.

I really dislike the automatic update as I have yet to find a way to make the downgrade an easy process.

Hopefully the apps and what is needed to downgrade will continue to be available in Rebble or somewhere else. This includes the Nautique app.

At this point it's pretty much Rebble or nothing. I bought a bunch of Classics and got all of them updated and the app installed. I figure I'm good for years.

Looks like I need help downloading the 2.9.1 version on to my watch. It will not link to my 2018 230. Any help is appreciated. I have the rebble app just not sure where to find the old version and get it downloaded.

            Gang,

The Rebble site seems to be up and going fully now. Here are the details:

            -------------------------------------------- Enter the Rebble Era

As detailed in our last blog post, existing Pebble users had the option to retain their Pebble account data by linking their Rebble accounts before the Pebble service End of Life on June 30th. Even if you missed out on the chance to link accounts, or are a new user (welcome!), the process for transitioning to RWS is the same:
            • log into (or create) your Rebble account at https://auth.rebble.io/ on your mobile device (it should already have the official Pebble app installed)
            • (optionally) subscribe to get weather and dictation services (and even better: support the project!) via your account page
            • visit https://boot.rebble.io/ from your mobile device to switch the Pebble app to Rebble Web Services!!!

The boot page contains instructions and caveats, but just as a heads up, iOS users need to wait 15 seconds then tap the yellow exclamation mark to log in, while Android users may need to log out or kill the app, but will eventually see a big red button to press (ignore the orange spinner if present), after which you’re all set (your Pebble may disconnect - that’s OK, just re-connect and you’ll be all set!).

            ----------------------------------------------

The last step in this is what really changes the app on your phone over to the Rebble servers. The next time you start the app on your phone, it'll log into the Rebble servers instead. As near as I can tell, you can update firmware and install the NSS app from there.

Thanks Charles . Have you cleared out the software on one of your Pebble watches and reinstalled the Rebble software with the ability to synch the watch with the NSS system on your boat?

Not yet. I won't be able to do that until I'm back up at the lake. I'm quite confident it'll work just fine.

New guy around here, and I hate to walk in the front door and ask for help, but..........help! I just traded up to a 2018 G23 and I have a pebble classic on the way. I have read through every thread I can find on compatibility and how to set it up when it gets here so I knew I first need to get app set up on my phone. Here’s where I’m running into trouble. I didn’t have a Pebble account before they shut down. I downloaded the app and then followed the directions above to switch it over to Rebble but I cannot get it to work. After launching through Rebble I get nothing. Any ideas or suggestions? I know this is new so maybe I’m on my own figuring it out, but I thought I’d ask as a couple of you guys are clearly pretty well versed on how to make all of this work.

You need to make sure you have an account on Rebblie. If you don't, create one. Next, from the phone you have to go here:

visit https://boot.rebble.io/ from your mobile device to switch the Pebble app to Rebble Web Services!!!

This site tells the Pebble app on your phone to stop looking for Pebble servers and instead, look for Rebble servers. Follow the instructions on the Rebble.io site. Once you have the app on your phone, you'll then need to add the NSS App in. It's just a search from the Pebble app to find and add it. Then connect to your watch. It will probably do an update. When it's done, you should have the NSS App on the watch.

I’m set up on Rebble. I’ve gotten to the screen where it launches the app. Maybe I’m trying to use the wrong app. I have the old (orange icon)Pebble app installed on my phone. When it launches it asks me which watch I have then the next screen just says check internet connection and it’s dead. Nothing happens. No way to go back or forwards.

You definitely have the wrong app. For a 2018 boat, you want the latest Pebble App, not the old version. Remove the one you have, go to the App Store and get the latest and greatest version. Then go back to https://boot.rebble.io/ so it can change the app to look at the Rebble servers.

I have the same problem, I have a pebblle 2 with NSS app and converted over to Rebble but the 18 g23 wont see the watch, others have said the pebble 2 wont work with the 18 boats and said to use the old pebble app instead of the new one, anyone have similar problem? should I just buy a classic or time and try one of those?

The chart for a 2018 boat lists:

                                Classic
                                Steel
                                Time
                                Time Steel

                                That's it.
