Hey everyone , Just a question , has anyone using the pebble in the 16, 17 ,18 have the ballast shift show up on the watch? I had saw this in one of Nautique advertisement ,but
did not see it listed in the app. And is there anymore feed back on what they are working on in the future?

Ballast Shift appears on the Pebble Steel and Time, I believe. Definitely does not appear on the Classic.
I talked with my dealer about 2019 and beyond and he said it was Garmin. That said, I haven't seen anything on the Nautique site about that yet. I'm wondering if that got pushed to 2020.

Gang,
I have an update on this. I've been working closely with my dealer over the past couple of weeks and here's where we are:
- In November Nautique is going to officially announce support for the Garmin Fenix 5.
- There will be a new Surf Select module. Version 2.5? 3.0? I don't know yet.
- If you order a 2019 with Surf Select before November, it will come with the 2.0 module and be compatible with the Pebble.
- After November, you will have to choose. Pebble or Garmin module.
That's all the information I have at this time. Now here's what I think this all means:
- The new Garmin module will be compatible with the 2017 and 2018 boats. Maybe even the 2016. I'm basing this on the fact that the 2019s did not change from the previous year, at least from a Surf Select perspective. And really, it didn't change from the 2016 either.
So what should you do? I'm glad to see Nautique moving forward with a new watch that's supported. This is good. I'm going to take a look at the functionality of the Garmin and see what it does. It's going to have to do a lot to get me to swap out my Surf Select module and buy a Fenix 5. That watch is $550. I wouldn't really be all that bummed about dropping a $30 Pebble in the lake. For owners of 2016 boats with Surf Select, the Garmin may be your only avenue. I spent hours trying to get the older firmware on a Pebble for a 2016 and just couldn't find a way.
That's all I have at this time. If I get any more solid info prior to the announcement in November, I'll update this thread again.

If I could replace the module in my 2016 with one that worked with a Garmin Fenix 5 I would do that in an instant. Here's a quick review of that watch: IT IS AWESOME if you're an active person (run, bike, swim, ski etc.)

Gang,
I have an update for the Pebble 2. In short, It does not work. I tried every available version of firmware for the Pebble 2 and it will not pair with the Surf Select. 4.0, 4.01, 4.1, 4.2, 4,3 and 4.4 all for the Pebble 2 (Silk platform). It's a no-go.
Furthermore, one of our other members here who has a Pebble 2 tried it on his 2018 G23. Same problem.

Gang,
I received an update today from a senior product engineer at Nautique:
The Garmin module that's being announced in November will be compatible and supported on MY2016-MY2018 boats. If you already have Surf Select, it'll be a simple matter of replacing the old module with the new one. In addition, there will be no requirement for a LINC firmware upgrade. It'll work as-is.
