Hello, I am looking into buying a nautique 230 and I am a little worried about the speed needed to clean up the wake. Can anyone give insight? I would run stock ballast maybe a little more. It is an 08 that I am looking at

You can clean up one side on almost any boat at a very slow speed. My advice is to get one side clean and have them work that side for a bit then clean up the other and have them work that side for a bit. We did this with our kids and they are now 6 and 8 and ride at 19-20 easily with confidence.

Any 08-09 230 will need the zero off GPS antenna and software updated to the latest versions. Otherwise when zero off is engaged your boat will porpoise going down the lake with any weight over stock. Its really annoying. I had an '09 230 with 3200 lbs of ballast, ACME 1235 prop, ZR409 motor and the wake was great at 22.5 mph. Updating the zero off system worked wonders.

Wife and I really like the 230 but I was afraid it would not fit our needs. Your advice is great and really makes me feel better the 230 would work just fine. Thanks.

We went with a 2004 sante 210. We will move up to the 230 in a couple of years (maybe....I love this boat). You can clean up the wake at 17.4 on the 210. It has been perfect for my 8 yr old. The wake is narrow, but it will boot his ***. We were going to go with a newer boat, but I found this one in mint condition. Feel free to email me at chris@stinsonphoto.com and can send you some videos.Last edited by Chris5084; 02-19-2018, 11:26 PM.
