we have one. it is awesome. the more weight is on the front, the more washy it will be. and there is no rooster behind mine.

i think you pm'ed me off of wakeworld or something.
i have ridden behind Alphs martinique too, he puts in alot of weight. i suggest a custom tower as well. they added fiberglass to the backside for ours and so far after 4 or 5 summers not one crack.
we put 450ish pounds between the motor and back seat and it makes the wake very crsip and very. has a nice lip to it. wake is farily large with little weight. i was gonna post a pic of our tower, but my host site crashed.

That's weird. My ears were ringing. I'm the guy with the beast. I'm spoiled on the SANTE wake so if it sounds like I'm not totally stoked about my wake that's why. However, my wake is awesome! The day that I put 2000lb in it was the first night I had some new sacs. She was really touchy with speed and the wake was really peaky. I had absolutely no transition, but the wake was stupid big. That night I had a Pro X integrated bow sac totally full and it was too much. I usually run with the 60/40 rule, that being 40 percent of your weight in the front and 60 in the back. Since this boat has so much hull already in the water you'll be great with a pro x tube sac in the back locker, a pro x side sac in front of the couch, and throw a side sac in the floor board of the bow.

I've got the 542 also, I love it. Make driving it a dream. The only down sides to my boat are that I have to pull the motor cause my tranny is spewing (not leaking) and I have to replace the floor. I've got lots of plans for her.

In all that rambling did I answer any questions you had?

Havent gotten a chance to post because I have been too busy riding.....

The wake is big stock, I added some POP PRODUCT bags in the front and back and keep the gas tank full and it hardened right up. The passenger side always has a bit of curl that is more annoying than anything, but keeping tension on the steering cable cleans it right up.

Im happy as **** with this boat, and the 454 doesnt do too bad on gas.

        Ill take wake pics soon.

I believe the Martinique has a unique "family tree". Wasn't it the predecessor to the Nautique Excel ('91?) which evolved into the '95 Super Sport? Then the SS became the world's best wakeboard boat? (was the MQ a bigger version of the "Barefoot" boat?). ER
