RE: Re: RE: Re: New For 07

Yeah, but if the 236 is an elongated (sp?) version of the SV-211, wouldnt that make it more similar to the 220 than the 226? If so, it would seem that if you had a 220 and 236 you have VIRTUALLY the same boats, just w/ a 1.5' difference. I see the 226 more as family oriented only, where the 220 being more directed towards wakeboarding, esp. due to the hydrogate. If the 236 is the longer 211, than I'd see it almost being the same as the 220, esp. if it had a hydrogate also. I wouldn't be surprised if all of CC's new boats in the near future had hydrogates...

No, I think a 220 and a 236 makes sense, but I don't think having two family style V-drives(226 and 236) one foot different makes sense. Even though the 220 and 226 are two different types of boats(hard-core wakeboard vs. family), I think bumping the 226 up to 236 will help differentiate it more from the 220.
Well they seem to think a 211 and a 226 just 1 foot apart makes sense. I guess I'm not sure where you are going there. In Correct Craft's eyes, this 211/220/226 makes total sense.

And, I say this seriously, but the 220 is not a hardcore wakeboarding boat. Not right now anyway. It is a crossover boat. They have a lot of work to do on that boat before we start running around calling it a hardcore wakeboarding boat.

I dunno, I have to disagree with that. In my mind, a crossover boat has to be a crossover between wakeboarding and slaloming, not wakeboarding and family rec. I think at this point people are being way to anal about distuinguishing wakes for the general public. It used to be both of these boats (210 & 220) threw massive wakes. Sure, the 210 may be MORE hardcore, in that it isn't much good for anything else (like family rec.), but to say that the 220 is not hardcore is like saying the 206 is not a hardore slalom boat. It may not be as hardcore as the 196, but sure as **** hardcore... just my .02

The 216 is the Sport Nautique hull right?

Setting the 210 aside for a moment because it is not disputed, and setting the 211 and 226 aside because CC does not assert it is a hardcore wakeboarding boat, I would like to see a Sport Nautique/216 and a 220 with 1200lbs of ballast in each run a pass at 22mph next to each other and see how we feel after that... Then determine what were calling hardcore, and what we are not.

I don't follow you, the 220 w/ 1200lbs of ballast would kill the 216 wake by far, what are you saying? And the 216 has the TSC2 hull, but 2' longer. This is not the same as the original Sport Nautique hull.

Ok - that is what I was trying to figure out. Thanks for clarifying. I wasnt sure how much that Sport hull had changed over the years.

I think the 226 is dead, being replaced by this 236 whatever it is called. It is a bigger 211, not 226 though. But, I fail to see the distinction that will make it not a family boat.

The only time I want a 226 (or maybe this new 236 beast) is when I'm downtown looking out at Lake Michigan. Ride the north shore then cruise the beaches.

I heard a rumble that a revised 210 is coming from a reliable source. 'Slightly wider' was his words along with the fact that it may not be ready until December.

The 220 drives like crap with extra ballast on top of stock. Both Murray and Mike Ferraro knew about this well after it was launched and rumour has it that it needed a hull tweek.

Did anyone else hear about the 220 hull when weighted heavily (in addition to stock) ?

(There was a post from a guy called Robin in the UK touching on this some time ago).

Jeff, did you here anything bout this whilst down in FL recently ?

well i know you guys have been waiting to hear my comments on this. My rumors tell me that the new boat, whatever it is called, will look like the concept boat that Master Craft had a few years ago. They are still trying to catch up to Master Craft and this is the best way!

X-Star looks with CC build quality and 210 wake would make a certain winner !

Actually, yes. I heard that there was indeed a slight hull modification.

Yeah the one at Murray's place was not good at the time. (The yellow and black 220). Has this now been sorted ?
