    7 foot garage door clearance.

I’ve just seen the new walk through of Adam about the 2018 GS22.
He Told at the end with the tower down the GS enter in a standard 7ft garage door.
anyone already done it? I know for sure my 2017 Nautique 210 doesn’t enter in my 7ft garage door.

does the tower of GS is smaller in height for head clearance ?
    Thanks

I can't comment for sure on a 7' door, but my GS20 fits in my garage with a couple inches to spare. My door is 7.5'. This is one of the main reasons I purchased a GS20.

I'm 6' tall and don't have any problem walking under the center of the tower. I have 1 pair of Rev-10s in the outer mounting position and I don't have speakers in the middle position.

Standing head room is much better with my GS20 than it was with my 2011 210 with the Z5 bimini. Btw, I would never own another Z5. They are expensive, they rattle a lot, they sit too low, and are cumbersome for one person to remove. IMO, the current Natique bimini is much better.

      Thanks,
I’m 6ft too and I found the 210 head clearance was great. Same thing here instead I have 2 Roswell Neptune 9" with twitters so nothing in the middle either.

I don’t know for sure wich Bimini if the Z5 but mine is the rectangular one with surf pocket on the top. You just have to remove the cover and flip both side. Very easy for 1 person
and WAY better than my others roll up Bimini haha.
I think the Z5 is the one with tots of metal framing and goes under the tower. That was a totally no for me!

i loved the GS22 2017 when I tried it but I had not fold down the tower since I had already tried the 210, take measurement and was not fitting in my 7' garage door.
i was thinking the GS would probably be even taller since it’s like a more luxury one.

i bought the 210 because I prefered the handling and the size (21ft. Flush was what I wanted)
and the 30K less got a huge influence too haha.

but in the other side if the GS enter in a 7' door it would saving me a seasonal garage rent every year.
maybe at the end of my warranty!

I was talking to the factory rep from Nautique at the boat show last year and he said that was one of the design goals for the GS20. It needed to fit under a 7' 6" garage door with the tower folded.

Yes the Z5 is the bimini with all the metal framing and it does sit underneath the tower rather than over the towel. This really limits head room under the tower.

Well, it's a trade-off. I went back and forth a BUNCH of times on which bimini to get. The factory bimini sits above the tower, but it's smaller and doesn't provide as much shade. The Z5 is bigger and provides more shade, but it's below the tower.

              They both have their advantages.

Oh yeah? Is my bimini is the factory one? I don’t know.
i already heard somewhere the factory Bimini is exactly the same without surf pocket at the top.
But it provide less shade than the Z5 !? Wow I was thinking my Bimini was the biggest of all time lol.. Even closed it provide shade haha.

Yep. It's higher above the boat so it's going to provide less shade. This is part of the trade-off.

                    Soul,

What is the height of your 210 on the trailer with the tower down? What brand trailer do you have?

                        Hi All,

Just had my new GS20 delivered last week and i can confirm with the tower down and new bimini above the window it does fit in a 210cm or 7 foot garage door height. I was a
little lucky with the length as the garage is about 100cm longer than a standard garage and with the boarding platform removed it fits very snugly. I did have to get the door adjusted so it lifted an extra 5 centimeters as it was not lifting the door all the way up. I have about 2cm to spare in height and 3cm in length, it was a relief as i bought the boat based on its size and my wife's ability to measure the garage while i was at the Melbourne Boat Show 300km away. Needless to say she did a good job!
