I have an 11 Sport 200 and really like it. I can't compare to the NXT20, but am of course willing to answer any questions about the Sport 200 that you may have. I came out of a direct drive and wanted to retain the feel and handling of the DD but in the more family friendly V configuration.

Do you do any footing behind the sport 200? How would you compare the handling to a direct drive? That is about the year I was looking at. Might be another year before I can get my hands on one but that is the model I would prefer over the NXT. I have always had good luck with Nautique so I would prefer to stay with the brand the costs just seem to be ski rocketing for both new and used.

I also have a 2011 sport 200v and my previous boat was a 2004 216. The main differences between the two are in the surf/wakeboard setup and interior space (obviously, since there is no engine to move around). You don’t have to weight the 200 as much to get a nice wake and it still handles well when weighted. We surf the boat a lot. I replaced the hard tanks with 750 fat sacs and that is all you need for a decent wake. The 216 was like driving a cargo ship when loaded. The 200 handles similar to the 216 when empty, especially with the hydro gate engaged. I have a barefoot boom on my 200v and we foot all the time. Long line is a little tricky because the wake is a steep, but once you get outside it ur fine. I have the 6 liter engine.

I really don't think you're comparing apples to apples. The 200 is a ski boat hull, in a v drive configuration. It will ski well, and surf and board well with the appropriate displacement / ballast.
The NXT series is a wake boat thru and thru, just without the bells and whistles to drive the cost down. It will board and surf better out of the box just due to its size and displacement, but not ski nearly as well in any way.
It is possible to make a Ski boat surf and board ok, but nearly impossible to make a wake boat hull have a passible ski wake.

I do foot behind the Sport 200 though most of my footing experience with this boat so far has been on the tower boom that I purchased shortly after getting the boat (tower booms are a whole nother story) I think the biggest limiting factor with the Sport 200 for footing would be top end. I weighed 205 last summer and it pulled me plenty fast for two feet stuff, but one foot attempts left you wanting for a little more. The 6 liter would shine here I'd think.

Regarding handling, I think this is about as close to direct drive handling as you're gonna get with a v drive. I had 2 different Malibu VTXs previously and they handled good too. Not quite as good as a direct drive, but very good. The little bit of handling that you give up tho is more than made up for with storage, seating configuration and just overall comfort.

I came into this boat out of an 88 Ski Nautique. With a wife, two daughters and their friends it was way past time to move into a more well rounded boat.
