Anyone found a way to store skis on the 206 other then the ski racks that go along the inside of the boat. Are the 2004's any different then the 03's.

yes...you should be able to store some skies in the rear trunk storage. If you have ballast tanks on the 03, they curve up the side, making it hard, or impossible to get a large ski in. Same with teh 216. IN the 04s, the tanks are totally flat, which elimate that problem.I Nautique, therefore I am.

there are no differences in the 206 from 03 to 04 other than the shape of the ballast tanks. You can put skis in the trunk or under the passenger seat. If I am not mistaken, there is also storage space underneath the cooler in the floor.

I have a 2003 206. If you leave the floor cooler in the garage, you can stick a pair of combo skis in the bilge storage area. I can't get a slalom down there because of the high-wrap bindings. When I leave the dock for a day on the lake, I have in the boat a trick ski, a pair of combos, a pair of kids trainers and two 68" slalom skis and they are all under cover. The only thing that I can't fit in one storage area or another is a pair of jumpers.

Mine is a Limited set up for pure slalom. I have no subwoofer up front, although my dog likes it up there and he does woof. I also have no ballast tank. Even without the tank, a 68" slalom with highwraps will not fit in the trunk.

Speaking of in-boat ski racks on a 206 --does anyone know if those racks "fold" in ...or are they fixed in one position. I've seen racks that fold and are out of the way when ski's are not in them.
I have a 206 with a sub-woofer under the passenger seat ...it blocks any skis from being stored there..I'm going to ask the deal if it can be repositioned to allow for a ski. I ski on a 67" with highwraps ...I can't get the ski in the ski locker of the trunk. With 4 boys growing up fast (which is why I bought the 206 -which is awesome)--we are going to need storage

You can move the speaker but the ballast tank is there forever. Both problems have been addressed for 2004, but how many people bought 206 or 216 Teams for $40K - $50K that slalom? I think CC should do something special for these customers. THey can move the speaker at the least!

The 216 will hold a 68" ski in the trunk. If they widened the trunk on the 206, they would effect the wakes. To be honest with you, I don't even use the trunk on my 196. The ski racks on the side are nice. They do fold into the side. They put them on the drivers side because they figure that if you want to "totally" walk around the boat, you will do it on the passenger side where you have more room. As far at the TEAM package not fitting the 68" ski, it is because the team is a trim package level, not a change in the shape of the boat. It is kind of like GM and how they offer the SL model and the SLT model and the others. You get different features within each package.

I have a 206, and storage is not a problem. You have the hull coolers/lockers. I can put jumpers under the floor. I can put 2 slaloms,7 life vests and lots of other junk under the observer seat that runs to the bow. The only thing in my trunk is binding slime/wet vests/ropes/slalom course supplies/stuff you can grab from the platform with your ski on.
Just because its a trunk does not mean its the only storage in the boat.
In fact, I would love to have no trunk and have more skiier space in the back of the boat.
The last real skiier boat I owned, was a 2001 that I orderd up with a older gas tank. It had no trunk and just a step over in the back. I pulled the back seat out the day I picked it up and didnt put it back in til it sold.
I think CC should offer that as option.Life long Nautique guy
Will ski anytime.
