    2017 bow door panel option

I was wondering what is the name of the bow (door) panel option.
I keep searching and couldn’t find anything about it. I see pictures, boats on sale but never the option in the description.

I was wondering if it can be possible to add this option after the boat is manufactured. I don’t know if it slide somewhere inside or it take some molding or inserts that are only put when the option is taken. Maybe it’s a door with little hinge I really don’t know.

I would like to add this panel if it’s possible.
    Maybe some pictures too.
When I bought the boat it was a leftover. It doesn’t have the option but I liked it on my previous boat. Really usable in early spring and late autumn.
    thanks!

So you have a 210 so I assume you're talking about the air dam for that boat and not a G. For the 210 (and 230 as well) in 2017 it was offered as a slide-in air dam. Basically, there are two "channels" in the walkway and the air-dam slides into them when in use. When you're not using it, you have stash it under a seat or something.

Now doing this as a retrofit is possible, but not trivial. In boats that did not include this option, the upholstered panels on either side if the walkway extend all the way to the edge. In other words, no room was left to add the channel. In order to retrofit this, you'd have to remove these upholstered panels and have them cut down to leave enough room to add the channel. Not sure how practical this would be to do, but it most certainly could be done.

You can see the channel a bit in the left side of this photo: https://imgur.com/3YkgwAp

Another option would be to have a snap in bow cover installed. I have one on my 2008 and like it a lot. I feel it saves the bow interior from the sun and it gives us an added storage area especially during our 45 minute tow to the lake.

I think you could add this. Making it look OEM in a 2017 may be a little more difficult, but easy solution is using C-channel on each side and then cutting a piece of HDPE or something else that slides in. If you want detailed pics of what mine looks like, let me know and I will send pics. I have different brand boat than you but same concept.

I have a SNOB 200 so I don't know if this is directly applicable but I made one out of a white piece of pvc (or similar) sheet. It simply rests against the wall-thru cushions, sits on the floor and touches the bottom of the windshield. You would not know it's not factory and I don't have the tracks/rails when it's not in use, which is 95% of the time.

Can you post pics on here? I'm interested in adding one to my 2012 210 as well.

As Charlesml3 said....this may not be as easy as you think. I'm not 100% sure about the 210 model, but I know on the G models, if it wasn't added at the factory level, there was an upholstered panel in the way on each side of the walk through which didn't give space for a slide in air dam. The 2 upholstered panels had to be removed and replaced with 4 sectional upholstered panels, leaving a space in between them, then the tracks for the air dam could be installed. HOWEVER....judging only by pics and vids I've found online, it does look as though Nautique may have used the same upholstered panels on all 210 models, whether they had the walk through air dam or not. If that's the case, then all you need to do is have your dealer order the walk through air dam and you could easily install it yourself. I would assume it only takes a few screws on each track to mount (I would recommend pre-drilling a pilot hole for each screw to avoid any gel cracking).

OR, you could always do a custom one! Here's a pic of one I made years ago for my 2007 Moomba Mobius LSV using some clear lexan, waterproof LED strips, and some strips cut from a Hydroturf pad (for the tracks). It actually worked great!! Used a Dremel to etch the pics onto the lexan!

                          Nice shot here !

bit as you said, the 210 isn’t exactly like G series.
and I’m not going to cut any upholstered panel that’s for sure.
after further research i found some pics and like Charles said, the air dam is mold between the upholstery and plastic. When the option is not ordered it doesn’t have the U bar mold just after the upholstery.
But I can easily buy some galvanized U track and fix them on each side just after the upholstery and it’s gonna be perfect.
(mostly like you’ve done with your Moomba)
here’s some pic of a 210 with and mine without.
you can see that the U tracks are made to come flush with the rest but it’s not gonna bother me at all if I place my tracks above. Just need to take Slim tracks.
