Rankin cover owner question?

I would like some input from a Rankin cover owner. Could you tell me how the cover cinches down tight? I know that they have some kind of "soft" hook which grabs the rub rail. Do these covers also have a rope which encircles the boat, or do they just have the straps on the back of the boat which creat the tension?
Also, does anyone have a Rankin cover which also covers the swim platform?

The soft hooks that grab the rub rail are installed with velcro , so there is some adjustment there. There is a rope that will cinch down very tight in the back. There are also straps in the back only. Does not cover the swim step.

Rankin says that the strap is supposed to cinch down above the swim step, but the rub rail on the 210 naturally puts it under the step. I now strap it above the step though.

93euro Where did you get your cover from? I am shopping around for one for my 06 210.

The cover in the picture is actually the wrong cover. They didn't know that a few things changed on the 210 in 06, so I'm still waiting for my new 06 cover. It takes about 6-8 weeks.

How tight is the cover between the bow and the windshield? Will I be able to fold my tower forward and rest it in the grab rails with the cover installed?

I've never put the tower down, so I can't say for sure. The cover is pretty tight..

Perfect picture, thank you. It will work just fine. Be glad you never put the tower down, it heavier than **** with the spinners and speakers. Now I just need to find the $1K to buy one.

93Euro, is it true that the Rankin will keep water from collecting, even without any support poles? Thats what Ive heard, and sounds good to me! Great looking total package of boat/cover/trailer/truck, by the way.

I own the same cover for my 2004 SAN, and yes, the cover pulls very tight so no supports/poles are needed. When properly attached, it provides very nice rain & debris protection even when towing. I give this cover an A+.
