What year and model boat do you have?

It's pretty easy to find a decent 90's SN with trailer for that amount. I must be missing something.

Hey... I sure as heck hope you're right. Please let me know if you run into a '94 (fuel injected 310hp) with 400 hours, Samson Sports Tower, 8 Polk UMM 8.5's, 2 JL 500 amps ( you can see one hanging off the side), 10w7, 2 blue optimas and cherry. Not saying it's 20 but not 10

I guess my point is that you seem really bummed about not being able to get out on the water anymore. I understand the sentimental value of the boat and that's certainly irreplaceable. But in the end isn't it the experiences not the actual boat?

To me the highest priority would be getting back on the water. I'd take my 10K, buy this 1996 Sport Nautique with a tower rather than haggle for months over 5K while being stuck on the dock.

Granted you won't be pumping tunes on a sick stereo but you'll be living the watersports lifestyle we all love.

Good reminder. Just checked my insurance. 25k agreed value for a 04 SAN. Hope you are able to get this resolved soon and get back on the water.

            Your'e 100% right....

Definitely bummed out, it is not a good time for us to have to deal with this, in any capacity, on top of the other major life things that are currently stirring (job change, relo, 6 months into trying to sell a house)... BUT sure as **** doesn't mean I'm going to pick up golf in it's place.

Already started negotiations with the wife for a new set of experiences... & maybe, just maybe, a bit more room

That just made this post worth it for me. Thank you.

I worked at a marina that had a fire in a storage building. We lost 32 boats (and one of our tractors). It was a nightmare, as lots of them were older models and people had no insurance on them at all. Sentimental value high, dollar value low - even if they had insurance, it wouldn't have helped necessarily.

Sad day, and I'm sorry you have to go through it. I know something about all this, and have learned what questions to ask when insuring a boat.
