Anyone have any experience? These companies seem to be popping up more and more. Admittedly not a huge fan of seadek's customer service, but have concerns using anyone else for a custom job and worried about their ability to match my existing seadek. TIA

Aqua Marine Decking...matched my boat since I did not want to replace swim deck, price was reasonable to me for what I got, $350. I ordered template kit and traced what I wanted since I was not looking for entire boat kit (Added 4) gunnel and 2) bow pieces, cooler cover, transom step, 2 sets for a new step I fabbed for back seat to step on, 18) bottom pieces for all my stainless cup holders since the old material was wearing out and couple other misc things), mailed to them and within a week got price and started order. Pretty quick responses from them too each time and I have emailed no less than 10 times. (I recently did this so have not gotten my actual order yet but have heard a lot of good reviews about them)
I would say for the most part these guys all buy their stuff in bulk from same places. Some may make their own, but guessing most get it from same place and some of it you are paying for the name. Walmart t-shirt vs Nike....both are gonna last a while, one costs 3 times more than the other.
For price comparison, I have heard some people say that while "name brands" where charging 1200-1500, Aqua Marine was charging 850.

I unfortunately did not have good luck with Aqua Marine. Heard great things on this forum about their service, but they did not seem too interested in my business. Long wait times between emails and unresponsive, maybe my job was too big for them (floor of a 99 Ski Nautique - I guess direct drives are more difficult, more surface area than standard v drive kits)?

I am curious as to who you spoke with at Aqua Marine....Ashley has been nothing but responsive , helpful and the company is completely affordable. I would consider another try. You will save a lot of money vs Sea Dek and Gator. I believe they are the same product (I could be wrong )
What I HAVE found out with these other companies......if you are going to do custom pieces....a few here and there.....they are not responsive. If you want to do the whole hull etc......they are more responsive...I don't blame them...they are busy....but if your looking for 10 or less pieces. AM was great to work with. Sorry you had a bad experience! hahahaha I sounds like salesman!

An alternative to going through SeaDek, Is to go through SC Wake. Customer service is 1000% better, and they are much faster with custom pieces. They are a SeaDek dealer, but they do all the design work, and cutting, in their own facility. Basically, the product is identical (and would match perfect), but you don't have to deal with SeaDek at all.

I used GatorStep and had very good service. Responsive to emails and even had a 20 minute phone conversation on final details of my order.
