      Yeah I've come to the conclusion it's an 86 for those same reasons! Didn't get a chance to check the HIN last night as we had a bad storm here.

        It's definitely a 86'. The dash is a dead give away. The bow vents are under the windshield 87'-89'. I restored the 87' in my profile pic. These boats are so much fun to own and easy to work on. Keep us posted with lots of pics!

          It's an 86.....the stripe is the dead giveaway. 85 touches the top on back....86 there is space. 87 first year with color under the windshield.
