Too early to talk about a 2019 G23? Any expectation?

Like a tsunami aerator?? You'd have to rework the entire ballast system, and have 6 of them...... It would cost you a couple grand, minimum, and then you couldn't change the timers to compensate. I know you could turn them on and of manually, but wouldn't it seem kinda dumb to have to do that on a boat that costs this much?? Take a fully auto system, and turn it into one that you have to babysit?

If you are talking about doing the huge new Johnson pumps that MC is using, the PDMs in the G wont handle the extra current draw of those pumps. You'd just keep tripping the internal circuit breaker function in the PDM.

GMLIII- Ya, I was disappointed on my 17 as well..... the ironic thing, is that 2016s fill much faster. In '16 Nautique used a function in the PDMs to step up the voltage to the pumps, so they would run faster. Youd start filling normal, and then a few seconds later, the pumps would ramp up significantly in speed. My 2016 would fill in 8 minutes, and my 17 took 12. I wonder why they ditched the setup from the '16?? It worked awesome! Maybe they had more pump failures from increasing the voltage to them?

Yep no quick fix on the G for slow fill rate . Also to note this is eating into my warranty hours just idling around waiting for them to fill all the f-ing time . Blah Ha

It's a nice setup until it isn't. My problem with Ramfill is its failure mode. We spend almost all of our time surfing with ballast full. Literally 95% of my hours are full ballast surfing. What happens when I have an engine or electrical failure and I can't get the boat on plane to empty the ballast tanks? How does one recover a boat with 3,000+ of ballast? No thanks. Give me dual, fast-pumping electric fill.

Couple of other "rumors" for 2019 G's: 1.) power tower option AND 2.) apparently there is more room under the floor for more than 2850 lbs of ballast - so more ballast without taking away any storage.

?? I wasn’t talking about a Ramfill system..... the XStar has a dual, fast pumping electric fill.... it has 8 1800gph pumps, and uses 1 1/2” hoses.

Like almost said the first thing that got in my mind was a new pump system to shortened the filling/draining time.
also an electric tower could be a great pos since « it’s the new thing » and pretty all brand goes that way.

I gotta ask.... what is really so great about centurions setup?? Sure, ramfill fills THE LOWER portion of the ballast really fast..... but the bags on top of those lower tanks take forever to fill. There is bags all over the place in the 217, 237, and 257, and it takes more than 10 minutes to fill them. What are they really saving? All it does is double up the amount of needed hardware, and increases the likelihood of component failure.

if they could fill all the ballast with ramfill, and skip all the pumps, I’d say it could be a good setup....... but it’s not.

The dual pumps and 3 min fill time on the Supra was one reason I wen that way, and I know that others enjoy the power tower option. I bought a 18 supra Sl and hear the 19 is going to have a new dash, Haven't even got the boat and it is already out dated.

Did they change something just recently on the SL? I wouldn’t have thought they did, being as it’s only been out for little more than 6 months or so. The one I was in took just over 8 minutes to fill. It did have dual pumps for each tank, but they were the same jabsco ballast puppies that Supra uses in the rest of their boats. There was just twice as many.

The dealer rep was the one who timed it, and was pointing out that it was at least 5 minutes faster than the SE with less factory ballast.

I wil find out next week when I pick it up, but rumour has it that they are getting a dash upgrade for 19, not sure if it is true or not, but i do like the redundant switches . On the old link system I found it annoying to change speed then nss, then switch sides , then change the speed etc, always found I was looking at the dash instead of my surroundings. The new dash on the G is pretty sweet though.

Simply put the power tower will go up and down at the push of a button.
