Found and think I'm about to pull the trigger on a 2000 Air Nautique (not the Pro Air). Have previously owned a 2008 216 and a 2006 206. Seems like the boat I'm looking at is pretty similar to the 216? We are just rec skiers and boarders so looking for something that does both well. Thanks.

I think you said the magic words. Recreational...skiing...and boarding. The 98 Air is a great for both. It's not the best of the best for either, but does both very well. Maybe a little less 'modern' than your other boats as they are newer. As long as it has the GT-40 and good condition, I'd say go for it.

Yeah, has 380 hrs on the GT-40 and big recent service. Hull looks good, just a little oxidized but I tested a couple spots with compound and it cleaned up really well. Most of the rear skins are brand new. The bow seating is original and has a layer of dust but also cleaned up pretty well. $5k in stereo upgrades (not that I care, but kind of fun). Not 100% sure the ballast pumps are working but they are easy to replace and I don't really need them anyway. Brand new custom fit cover. Other than a good detail, maybe powder coating windshield frames, and servicing trailer, doesn't seem to need much. Think its a pretty good a good deal as owner is in forced sale situation and boat is at mechanic's shop because seller can't pay $5450 bill. Looking at the trailer, its definitely been in salt but not for over 5 years. Manifolds and risers have been replaced.
