Opinions of 2002 Sport Nautique LE's

Yesterday, while browsing available used boats, I saw a 2002 Sport Nautique that caught my eye. I've primarily been looking at SN's, however the larger size with the OB may be more up my family's interest. Please give me some feedback on this model of boat. Thank you....

I recently sold my 2000 Sport Nautique. The Sport Nautique is an excellent boat. Handles very well and is a good all-around boat. The slalom wakes are larger than I liked but are still very good. Great boat for tubing and knee boarding.

We recently upgraded from an older SN to a 96 sport. The extra room is everything. The ski wake is similar to my older SN but probably not as good as the newer SN. The sport is a great all around boat, good power and very responsive. My buddy bought a 99 SNOB and is now sorry he didnt hold out for the sport. I would do it again in an instance.

I have a 2000 Sport and I love it. The wake is not bad at all to ski behind and on rough days on the lake it has no problem cutting through the waves.

        Hey Panchanga,
        Where do you ski?

ditto on the rough water handling, the sport hull in great.

We ski the Sac river mostly as its only about 10 mins to the ramp. Mostly afternoons and eves. We're also trying to do the Berryessa thing on random Fridays to beat the crowds. thinking about a trip to Oriville/ Shasta too. What about you?

The 1999-2002 Sport or Air Nautique (same basics boat) is the best crossover boat nautique has ever made. At 28 mph and above the wake calms down for good slalom and 19 - 21mph with 600 to 700 lbs of ballast it produces a good wakeboarding wake. This boat is a good balance.

Thanks for all of the comments. Does anyone know what the length of a Sport is on a trailer assuming trailer tongue is bent & platform is on? Concerned I will not be able to get it in the garage.

The boat itself is 22'7" with the platform on, 21'2" with the platform off. My trailer has a removable tongue that makes the trailer shorter than the boat.
