Wow! great analysis of all the boats. I just went through the same agonizing decision and ultimately decided on a new G23 over the X24. I didn't see any comparison on pricing(maybe I missed it)? Are they roughly the same price? I negotiated between both dealers and got a better price for the G. I paid a lot of attention to how well boats hold their value. The G23 seems to hold its value better than the others. Obviously, the X24 has no history. I used the X23 when comparing.

Thank you for the advice, as far as lake boats are concerned, aside from a pontoon someone gave me, I've never owned one and have absolutely zero experience with inboards or dealer purchases, so this is newly charted waters for me; hence all the research.... my knowledge is in center consoles and gofasts with manufacturers. With that being said, I can get to both dealers in 5 mins., from the house in Oklahoma, however, I do know the Nautique dealer personally, although the MasterCraft dealer's also been pretty welcoming. FYI, the boat won't just stay in Oklahoma and will probably end up either in Austin, or possibly Miami.

I didn't want either dealer to give me their best price until I had a clear understanding of each boat... I didn't want to be skewed by price, however, unless the final 2020 releases show a clear winner, I may end up using that as a deciding factor. With that being said, if you look at the base sticker, plus options, they're in the same ballpark, with an advantage going towards the X24.... once the releases are complete, I'll get best pricing and post

That being said I was negotiating for stock 2019's at the end of the season. If you are buying 2020's the pricing might be closer.Last edited by fearocks; 07-30-2019, 10:46 PM.

If I hadn't heard the 2020 updates when I did, I'd probably had gone with the '19

- Engine, do you really need it fresh water cooled? The H6 as it currently is, it's an awesome engine!
- Surf Select, add a few hundred for the watch vs 50 for a Pebble. How often will you use it? I tell you, much less than you think
Maybe the price difference for a 2019 is more worth compared to the upgrades? In the end, you get every year an update and it's always nice to have the newest thing, but is it worth to spend "that" much for? Very personally decision.

If something goes wrong, I just take it to a local dealer, correct? It's not too big of a deal if I have to bring it back for something else, considering I've got family to visit, but not sure what that something else would be.... any insight?

- As far as the engine is concerned, I was just thinking of that extra 50 of NA HP; the M235 excelled at pulling power, so I figured it might help fill the gap
- In Oklahoma, the rear seat rule isn't enforced, so those actually get used quite a bit (not the safest thing), however in Austin, where it'll most likely spend most of its time, might be a different story
- I guess there's also supposed to be a stereo upgrade, but it's pretty good, as it is

I got the new upgraded stereo on my 2020, as well as doing 4 8.5s on the tower. The additional speakers in the boat, bigger tower speakers (when selecting 4), and new DSP program, make a huge difference in the stereo for 2020. The passenger stereo/lighting/heat remote display is a nice addition as well.

Should not be a problem taking it back to the dealer where you purchased the boat for service or repair, but you may face challenges taking it to another dealership for repair or service even if they carry the brand of boat you own. Example, since you did not purchase the boat at that dealership your repair/service may get pushed behind other boat owners, who purchased thier boat at that dealership.

I'll have to look into the whole position sensing; didn't know about that. I was told about the passenger stereo, which was something about a screen being on the passenger side, but haven't read a lot of details about it, or seen any pictures... hadn't heard of the heat remote display either.
