    WakeMakers ExactFIT - 2016 210

Anyone pull the trigger on the ExactFIT (piggy back - 600lbs) ballast bags for the 210 with pro ballast now offered through WakeMakers? Pics would be great along with any experience on install (level of difficulty, quality of fit, engine divider supports needed, trays fit etc?)

I did a search both here and in the gear forum so hoping not a double post, apologies if so

    Thanks!

I just received the new ExactFIT bags for my 2016 230, which I suspect is a very similar kit. I'll post impressions as I install and use them.

I received the bags for my 2017 210 last week. I installed them yesterday, and they are easy to install, took maybe 30 minutes, and would take 20 if I did it again. I cannot comment on the fit when full as it will probably still be another week before the ice is off. I spent the extra money to get the exact fit over a standard size bag to hopefully not have the engine dividers bow, and still be able to keep the storage trays.

Were you told that the storage trays will fit in the 210 when the bags are full? I ask because I was told that the bags for the 230 were designed to be filled with the trays removed.

Thanks zigs - definitely hoping trays may still be possible since bags 600lbs but guess we will find it soon! Alternatively we need someone to cook up shallow trays to still allow for rope storage there!

Here is something else you could do in place of trays....since the trays are not an option for my boat, I have seen a couple other people do this. I just ordered a set for myself. These are 10x16 cargo nets (like a pocket) that I will mount to back of the rear lockers using some stainless washer/screws. Big enough to keep tow ropes of other odds n ends since its nice to not make people get out of seats when ur setting up to surf. I thot it was a cool idea, trays are better of course if they work, but thot these would be a good 2nd choice.

I was also out in 2014 230 surfing this morning where owner recenty upgraded the factory 400 PnP to the 750's (not sure if the were the exactFIT). Made a nice wave....big difference from before. His friend just bought a 2012 230 and wants to upgrade his bags too, I will tell him to check these bags out.

I called WakeMakers and they said for 210 the bags are designed to keep trays - will likely be buying a set in next few months and will report back if no one else does first

So how much weight do you gain over the pro ballast ?

I believe the stock pro ballast bags are 400lb each and these exactfit are 600lb each so you gain an extra 400lbs - we aren't pro surfers and as long as we have two families in boat the stock is fine - just would like the extra weight when it is only the 4 of us.

Am guessing that after adding these would likely be a good idea to also have a kid full time in bow or some lead

I installed these last weekend with a 550 bow sac! Took it out and immediately had issues with pumps. It is a lot of water to fill and drain. The port impeller was 1season old and just didn’t make it the belly tank filled but would not drain for some reason. After an hour sitting on the trailer it let loose and drained.
So i ordered the Jabsco ballest king pumps and extra impellers . Shouldn’t have any more issues.
on the other side the wake with every thing 100% and nss was amazing just the wife and son.
didnt snap any pictures but will next time!
i didn’t get the trays when purchased the boat but it looks like there is enough room when filled.

I got mine out this weekend, and it does not fill 100% with the trays in place. Trays start to push up once they hit 75%.

I talked to wakemakers and they did confirm that the treys will not fit. In all it seems like if you have 750s I’d keep them but if you want less pressure on your dividers these may or may not help..
