    Switching to Composite swim platform?

Hey guys I'm new to the page and I'm sure this topic has been beat up before. I have a 2002 super air nautique 210 team edition and are looking to upgrade my teak deck to a composite one. What brackets would i need and where could i find one besides from nautique? Thanks guys!

Not sure you can find them for sale unless someone has one third party for some reason. Good look with the search

Is there some reason you wouldn't just reuse the brackets on your existing platform?

Any luck finding one? My teak platform is cracked. I repaired it but would consider a composite.

I'm jumping in on this post to see if you found a replacement platform either in teak wood or composite. I have a 01 SAN and the deck needs to be replaced. Any suggestions?

You can order HDPE from Interstate Plastics online...then either router the outside edges or install a trim kit or something else to make it look nice and install decking like SeaDeck. I have ordered from then 2 times. Once to make a bow filler cushion and once to make a custom seat in my back seat to keep people from stepping on the vinyl.

I’m bringing some life to a old one here. I have a black fiberglass swim deck on our 03 super air. No chips or scratches. Recently cut and polished. I’m looking to trade for a wood one. Any takers out there hit me up.

A fellow by the name of David Longmore has made a mold for fiberglass swim decks for his OG 196 on the Nautique Boat Owners FB group, wouldn't fit a 210 but the process would be the same:

                        Helpful! Thanks!

Board member wayoutthere could prolly give us a good summary of how much work it is to build a mold (aka 'buck'?) for a swimstep. I think he did basically the same process when he fabbed up the seats for his 2001 resto-mod project. I'm sure there are youtubes as well.

I've gone back and forth on if I want a composite swimstep or not.

Pros - lighter (I suspect), less maintenance, great traction most of time
Cons - my teak swimstep looks so good when the finish in top shape

                        I think want both...lol.

He did a nice job on that plug and mold, like to know the number of layers on the mold, it looks nice and thick, 5 maybe.

like to know how many layers and the type of coring on the part.
he used or finished off the part with mat, -------- it's a preference thing, i'd lay it up with 1708.-------

looks like that mold will/can reproduce many parts.

I'm not sure about lighter. Mine is heavier than you'd think.

I do love a nice teak platform, but the maintenance-free aspect of fiberglass is a huge benefit as teak is a hassle to keep looking fresh.

I would not say lighter. My 211 composite platform is ~100 lbs.
