My 230 has a retractable tow point on the rear step.
Remember the 230 was originally a 236 and was designed as a do it all crossover. Turned out if you added weight you could get one of the best wakeboard wakes of that era and thus the 230 was born.

I thought it doubled as both?

Maybe I shouldn't have compared the 210 to the 230 because it may be completely different.
Having said that, I have towed a tube from the rear lifting ring on my 2011 210 but it wasn't ideal. The sharper edges of the lifting ring definitely caused premature wear on the tow rope.
I love having the low tow point on my GS20. I can't believe it's an option and doesn't come standard on a cross over boat.2007 Malibu Wakesetter 23 LSV, 1995 Cobalt 200
